Listening to that and knowing the story behind Susan and Elaine's willingness to participate in this duet makes anyone experiencing this video so happy and it brings the love in their hearts to a level which can bring a tear to one's eye. I know it did to me. I think you can understand why Susan adores Elaine Paige so much. You might want to hear Elaine Paige sing 'Memory' from 'Cats' which she starred in on stage and it is a moment you will never forget.

Susan Boyle has a quality to her that just draws you in. This was from an ITV Special. The entire show is fantastic “I dreamed a dream”. My favorite from that show is “Cry Me a River”.
Susan really can sing, i knew she was good but this was truely world class and she was on elaines level, im amazed by susan again
I never heard of Elaine Paige until Susan Boyle mentioned her. This must have been a dream come true for Susan. Their voices are similar, but I actually prefer Susan's --- it's a little sweeter and more refined. Elaine is a belter and Susan shows more nuances, at least that's the impression I got here.
Elaine Paige was the first Evita, Eva Perón in the first production of Andrew Lloyd Webber 's Evita in 1978. You should see her sing in 'Cats' as well. It really suits her voice.
I saw Elaine Page in the stage production of Evita she is very well known.

Such a great performance and such a dream come true for Susan to sing with her idol. Elaine Paige is a musical theatre goddess. Won many awards. Probably her most famous role is in cats where she blows the lid off the top singing Memories. I don't think they sang anymore together. It was a one time special thing Elaine was happy and gracious enough to do for Susan. By the way this song, I know him so well, was from the musical Chess and written by ABBA members Bjorn Uvaluas and Benny Anderson. I think you've done some ABBA. I could imagine Agnetha and Frida singing this

The latter performer is a wonderful singer and actress. She started out as a Scottish folk singer and went on to a very successful stage and recording career.
Barbara Dickson’s music was a part of my childhood - such a lovely voice and her duet with Elaine Paige was wonderful. Take the time to listen to Barbara too - if you can . You will see how well all these three ladies compliment each other musically

You may know (or it might be somewhere in the comments feed) but Susan would likely have successful much sooner, but she chose to remain home caring for her elderly, ill mother. It was only when her mother passed away that she felt it was time to seek to fulfill her dream of being a singer. I believe she had sung in her local community.. but her entry into BGT struck a chord with ‘the masses’!! Thanks for your reaction, and for being so respectful of Susan!!
