I myself personally play a lot of different Subs. Bass specific sub is designed to play from 26 Hz up to about 50 Hz. This up also need roughly 1500 W RMS to reach its potential. They reason that so is expensive as it is is due to sundowns warranty as well as 5 year upgrade option.
when it’s put in a proper enclosure, based on specs and power and vehicle and performance goals, it would perform great and even better than 2 of the other subs you have tested. The enclosure is a huge part of the subwoofers performance abilities. Now I know you wanted to test a lot of subs and show us what we’re getting for the money and that’s awesome and thank you for doing that but I think you need to give them the information that the box is very important and if you made a specific enclosure for each one of these subwoofers, you would have a lot different results, with that being said that’s pretty hard to do and I commend you for doing at least what you’re doing now but I don’t think the sundown sa is A bad sub for the money when you put it in the proper enclosure and power it correctly. Thank you again for making content for the community and I’ll continue to check out your stuff, I just wanted to share on the topic, in a respectful and honest way. Nice video. As for price yeah a bit expensive but as you said these will last longer, than anything even above rated power they've been R&D that much, people throw tons of power on it and it takes it like a champ. And a quality 2.5" coil is always better than a crappy 3" coil. Yeah the basket is not tall like others because this is like a decade old sub and only minor revisions were made till the SA v2 in which they brought the taller U series frame.
I have a single SA15. Got it for 120 bucks and I gotta tell yah.. Sundowns are badass products. Almost burnt it, saw a bit of smoke came out but she's fine. Coil still intact and shiny and still reading the same resistance.
I need help. I am in the last stages of buying everything I need for my car system. I have a 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback. For my sub amp I just picked up a Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp. We all been waiting on this, oooohhhh look at that flex....🧐
She did good and got down!
all the sub you be gettin where you keep them you change out a lot do you sale them after you do a utube vid
I keep a few for comparison but sell most of them
Sundown is hands down best bang for buck. I can’t afford to buy cheap stuff and to these are already inexpensive so it’s a win win. They are under rated fo sho
Can you do a massive audio 12in sub?
Had a Hippo XL and blew in breakin before I could even make a video of it.
Dc level 1 is cheap. Try one. For the price the level 1's are amazing. Love the channel love what your doing. Keep on keepin on
I have been thinking about picking one up!
I've got 6 DC level 1 10"s. Love em. Handle way more power than rated
cant wait for another skar review! there stuff is very affordable and the subs sound amazing, ive heard the sdr, ddx, and evl all 12s! dad has the ddx i have evl, gave my uncle my sdr since i wast using it at all
It will be out as soon as I can finish filming and edit it!
@@ParkerTheBasshead sounds good can't wait!
Just got my 2 skar ma8's and box today, cant wait to put em in !
I'm conflicted on purchasing these or purchasing the SA-12 v2.....these are rated @ 750RMS, while the v2's are rated @ 1000RMS...
Mine will be here tomorrow YES SIRR
How do u like them?
@@itzsace2733 they beat hard make sure you have the right size box.
Could I put these boys on a rp skar 2000?
Yessir!
Looks like old Rockford fosgate basket
how do you wired this sub? is it 1 ohms or 4 ohms? thanks
Had it wired to 1 ohm
Parker Dacchille owww that's nice!...you have a great amp 1 ohm stable..because mine is 2 ohms stable..by the way i have 1 dual 2 ohms amp and i just want to wired it by using a single set of terminals to make it 2 ohms final impedance is it posible i will not do a parallel or series to a sub...can you give me some advice thanks in advance!
Well, at least you tried one.
Probably won’t be the last. Eventually want to try an X12. Jut gotta work my way up there lol
What's the specs on that box?
2.7 ft3 tuned to 32 hz
It didn't sound like you were to impressed with this sub ecspecially the price point.I with you that American Bass sub is hard to beat Sundown is OVERPRICED.LET'S SEE THAT SAVARD HI-Q 12. And I believe that Skar is going to outperform that OVERPRICED Sundown.Another great video from my guy Parker👍🏾🔊🔊🔊
The box was too big. As he said. It would perform much better in the right box.
whoop there it is lol old school playlist
Oldie Goldie for sure
Could put 2 of my sa12s in that big ass box.
Sundown has a 2year warranty on it and a five-year discounted replacement on their subs and speakers more on their website for info
I’m broke I can’t buy that sub lol, I was planning on getting the skar sub u review awhile ago but I’m getting one American bass 12inch 😀 thx for the hard work man👍🤘
yeah we need a budget Sub RUclipsr like parker man cause i feel people sleep on some budget brands nowadays.
takumi kuruzagi its a 200$ sub bro
By far the best bang for your buck
EMF audio has lay buy option. It's how I'm getting my Banhammer 15's when they get built. Sean is an awesome guy
Fi has a sub think it is the X series sub it holds a 1000 rms and has a 27 mm xmax and it is around $200.
I’ll look into it! Been wanting to try an Fi sub for a while
Parker Dacchille please do the X series. It would get views as their are no other videos on youtube of it
Need to do more amps....
@BigDWiz got you covered there
I feel like the JL W6 would sound better. Jamming either way homie great vids!!
Nooo. I have 2 w6 and my 2 sa 12 v3 and v2 I had before the v3 definitely 100% sound better.
Review a team series!
I've got one you could review!
I prefer Kicker L7S over any Sundown sub I've heard at same $200 price point. You all hate on Kicker for being great. You can't beat their combination of bass and SQ! (I'm only referring to L7S btw because that's the only Kicker I've owned and keep going back to)
Review kicker 12 inch crv comp
Its the 750 rms round sub.. With blue stitching. Ribbed souround
I've got two Zv5's, but I got them both for 600$ even. For that price they're amazing subs but for 1500$ new, they are way overpriced.
Yeah man 600 is a deal!!
Thats a steal !
Overpriced depends on what you are after
Had many subs - sundown is definitely worth the money
Have a x8v2 in my work truck and a x fifteen going in my other h
U also shouldn't have cut the tinsel leads and just bent the little lug upwards leaving slack
The spider pack and coil affects x max way more than the basket why do u keep saying this?
I think In a better box you would think different idk my friend hit a 150 with that sub I myself have 2 sa 15s and they get down
Audio legion has a clone of this sub for $89 on Amazon. Budget banger!?
Have you tried any Orion?
No not yet. But hopefully one day
@@ParkerTheBasshead I'm subscribing bro
Joey Rios I appreciate you !!
I run both sundown sa12's and a skar audio RP1500.1 in a fourth order bandpass blowthru in my truck and love it. Alot of people try and knock one or the other company but in my humble opinion both are good quality brands if used properly and set up right.
Agreed
This sundown or a Skar audio VXF 12
Skar vxf
Get ready for the 3hrs reply podcast from Sundown.
Hahaha! I’m not even hating on them. Just stating the facts.
@@ParkerTheBasshead I agree. Did you see that reply video? A guy made a 2min video saying Skar wasa better value. Then Sundown made a 2hr reply! It really didn't look good for them.
@@NoMoreBsPlease given the background and history between Sundown and Skar, I’d say the response was warranted, and I go with Sundown every time myself, on a matter of principle, and due to that history.
