- Devil's Cargo stars John Calvert as THE FALCON
I'm assuming everyone knows whom John Calvert is
It turns out The copyrights of Appointment with Murder (1948) and SEARCH FOR DANGER (1949) were renewed. This is the only public domain Falcon movie. Кино
I enjoyed that, Thank-You for uploading!
😄
At a club in Detroit on Michigan Ave named the 52nd Show Bar I worked as a dancer for several years n there was a phone booth just like the one in the drug store where Margo made her call from, n they nicknamed it ",Liz's Office,""!!! Fond MEMORIES!!!! Thank you for the stroll down memory lane from my heyday years!!! I miss them!!! I am 67 now n feeling EVERY minute of it n then some!!! Shades of s GREAT youth!!!
The Skull on the mantel in the Falcon 's apartment with the floor trigger to make it chatter is beautiful. reminds me of the chattering teeth with the wind up key we had at family get togethers for entertainment, n they got a laugh from everyone whenever my Grandma popped them out to chatter on the dining room party table!!!LOL!!!
Loved the film noir twist at the end when Margo caught the bullet. " You know it is remarkable that you:ve stayed alive THIS long,,". A succinct classic comedy line at the Very end of a fun movie,!!!
Excellent movie! Thank you for the upload!
I enjoyed this movie so much that I came back years later and watched it again. It was fun to watch. Thanks for posting.
I love love love this emovies so much ..reminds me if my precious Mom...helps..🎚️😮💨💙
nothing beats golden age of hollywood movies no matter how forced some of the movies!
Love old movies. The newspaper photo of Bruce Conroy is the same picture used for the death of Detective Grady, in the Mr. Wong Fatal Hour movie.
The Falcon was played by Tom Conway, George Sanders brother, for years. The series was quite good. He played it with that unmistakable suave and witty charm both brothers had. ......George played the Falcon first then his brother took over!
Wow, I had no idea Sanders and Conway were brothers! Thanks for info!
@@CissyBrazil Just the character, not the actors
Calvert obviously spent too much time studying Ronald Coleman in his spare time. While this isn't my favorite "Falcon", it's silliness IS sorta charming.
I was thinking same thing! He act’s similarly like Ronald Coleman, voice too!
You know those fedora style of hats were very fancy with class made every man look fashionable who wore one.
i have one, i only wear it when it rains.
John Calvert lived to be 102.
Siegfried and Roy said he was an inspiration and Bess Houdini said he was second to her husband in skill,
Enjoyed! Thanks!
Classics line by the Falcon " never go to the police on your own, always let them come to you. That's what we pay taxes for!!! Here, have a donut,"!!!! LOL!!! I like this movie ALREADY!!!
That man is some serious unusual type of detective, and funny!!?
Lol; I love the dog’s name : ‘Brain-Trust’.
…Guessing that that’s similar to calling a bald man ‘Curly’?!
😉😂
Lyle Talbot enjoyed a long and successful career as a character man. He brought it to a close in classics by Ed Wood. That's right, I said classics.
I’ve met John Calvert some 20 years ago. Coolest gentleman.
He would have been about 90 then.
@@leelarson107 Correct. I saw him perform his cigarette manipulations, seen in this movie at 10:15, still at high age.
Oh WOW, was that a picture of the original Hollywood Hotel that they copied n made an attraction out of at Universal Studios Theme Park!? AWESOME!!!
LOVE Brain Trust!!!!
Another classic line by the dog walker, Come along Brain Trust! Oh I hope we don't meet a cat!!!LOl!!!
Enjoyed in 2023.
Thank you so much watching Memorial Weekend 2024 ...🎚️🇺🇸💙...
Calvert looks like side door Johnny vest, aka Jacksonville Johnny vest, formerly of torrent, ca 😺
Lots of fun. The Falcon's wisecracking got a bit tedious, but it was the day...A few nice surprises! 'Margo' had a bit of Dale Evans' look; interesting, considering she was an unrepentant baddie!
very nice flick.
Excelente. GRATIDÃO
Another outright laugh out loud classic line '"Delgado is dead, Conroy is dead, why dont you mind your own business" said to the Falcon!!!
Christine Larson was a bit player that Ronald Reagan dated and supposedly was crazy about- asking her to marry him. Supposedly Nancy was super jealous of all Ronnie's past gf's and his ex wife, but especially Christine. She died young, 47.
I knew this was going to be a good movie when I saw that Ted Larsen was in charge of makeup.🙄
Good Movie !
Fast paced, quick Dialogue & humorous !
5:10 Cigarette ? Lite ??? Yes, yes it is.
That intro music makes me anxious…
“Bruce ‘Lucky’ Conroy murdered” ….sounds like he lost his middle name.
Yeah~ I was thinking how cool that headline would'a been if it read: "Bruce UN-lucky Conroy."
Yeah, that music sounded like a cross between the Lone Ranger & Dick Tracy.
Okay
Actually LYLE T brings up Lyle Talbot, while JOHN CALV brings up John Calvert...
Google says Lyle is more well known between the two of them!!!
I’ve seen those movies when a good lookin nurse walks in…. Turned out different, clothes on floor, etc
I like the fedora's, all the men looked like Fed's or mobsters.
I guess Im kinda off topic but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released series online?
@Jericho Carl Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just google for it :)
@Kayden Franklin Yea, I've been watching on flixzone for since march myself :)
@Kayden Franklin Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I appreciate it!
@Jericho Carl You are welcome =)
DMV with No lines….!
4:50. They interrupted the broadcast to tell us that?
Any more of “The Falcon”. Series?
GOOD MOVIE!
Who made the Falcon’s car, with the round rear window, anyone know? Very smart...
It looked a bit like an early 50s Studebaker, but I couldn't catch any or model ID.
@@amandawilcox9638 thanks, looks like 1950 Studebaker Champion or Starlight. Top marks to you....
@@stevef9530 Tks! We had a near-matching.used Studebaker, so I'm guessing the Champion (the classic Muppet car!) We loved it; Dad kept it until the chassis was rusting off the frame. Fabric seats itched...Oh, well!
You can understand later in life why the smoking and drinking took alot of lives jezz they smoke like train's drink like fish!?
this guy couldn'y act his wat out of a bag with both ends open
Interesting! People wear suits, ties, and hats to a bowling alley. Who’da thunk it!
If Calvert was indeed a good magician, he would make all copies of this trash filum disappear 😺
Good plot.Terrible movie, even worse music. Was the falcon supposed be doing his Ronald Coleman impersonation?
Not only Ronald Colmans voice but his mustache too!
Man oh MAN there is some seriously bad acting in this...ditto the music. Still fun to watch. Extreme cheepnis!
Penguin in Bondage good
48:50 Hahaha not only was lady tied up in ransacked apartment but dog was tied up too!!
