The fact that they still have the whole freaking animatronic stage is just *crazy.* Thank you so much for getting one last look at this place before it gets torn down!
I wonder if, at some point in the future, places like this could come back, that Rockafire could make a comeback? Because right now, the inflation is out of control, the economy will probably collapse, and lots of businesses have closed down. Chuck E Cheese made the most horrible decision with getting rid of all their animatronics soon, Scandia Golf and Games in my home of BC, Canada got rid of their Rockafire band last year, simply because someone vandalised it! They probably couldn't afford to buy new masks on top of the repairs that were needed... But after the Five Nights at Freddy's movie comes out, where will kids get to see animatronics now? Or how about the nostalgic adults? 🥺 I'm really hoping that once the economy bounces back, maybe Rockafire Explosion has a chance to make a comeback. But the time isn't right just yet. That was so cool to see Loony Birds, I never seen one before. Kinda nice it was still left behind to take a look at!
It would be great to see a rock afire come back if creative engineering with start building them again because the show is wildly popular. It don't make sense to not have the shows active. And you're right I think it sad that Chuck E cheese is removing their animatronics.
Absolutely I couldn't keep it to myself. When I went there I was expecting to see a Dollar Tree or something. It's crazy that has been sitting there for 20years
We went there a year after after I graduated from High School. It was a 1hour 30min from the house. I went there when I could it was like my little getaway. It was like "Tommy's Eden" like "Sherry's Eden" except with Pizza. 😂
Wow that’s really neat that’s it’s been untouched for 20 years … you should get in contact with the property owner and ask him for access inside and then you could get really good before and after photos and also get to walk around in there for the last time!
Yeah, I think so. I would have done that this time but I figured that there was would have been a Dollar Tree or some other store inside. But you're right I The local news says that the lease on the land run sound in 2026 so they will tear the place down somewhere around then. - thanks Simly Retro. 😎
I work in the only store still open in this strip I just wanted to say that they’ve grabbed most of the items (backdrops and some electronic parts for the animatronics there were none of the full animatronics left) to take to Florida to go into a museum
Someone sent me a picture of it all boarded up. I think most people are worried that the back drops will go to waste. It's hard for me to get over how it was just left there for 20 long years untouched.
@@HeyTommyMain Oh no my apologies I meant the second song that played after the one in the beginning with the girl singing the song playing while you were looking in the building that song

I always felt they would have put in a dollar store or something. I just couldn't believe it was still there.
its getting torn down? awh :(
@@RatKingLiam at least not until Feb. 28, 2026

I'm glad you got footage of this while you still can! It's crazy how it's just frozen in time like that.

Amazing! Had no idea it was sitting abandoned like this still!
I can’t believe it is still there after 20 years I wish they were still open
Me to, Mr Ice. When I first got there I was expecting to see a Dollar Tree or something in its place but ... nope it's wild to see it still there.
Whoa...this is so cool! I can't believe the stage and other stuff is still there!
20 years of just sitting there. I still can't get my mind wrapped around that. 😵💫
I remember well we all had fun there, it's sad to see it empty that way I can't believe it's been 20 years.
🤪 crazy 20years

I hope so.
I know this is Google Earth, that you search up Jackson Plaza, and you go to the selection of years And go to 2012 it was still there!😊
Spp got converted into cec in 89 ending in 93
Godbless thank you 😊 🙏 ❤
God bless you and yours. Your always welcome. ❤
It it would have been awesome thinking to let you in so you can see the three-stage up close
I may contact the property managers and see about that. I should have thought about that before I went🤦
Insane
It really is 🤣
So cool!
😎
If you're ever in Indy, come see goofygas!!
I would love to.
Are they gonna take the center stage trees out
It doesn't look it. If I can get back over there I'll see if I can find the managers and see what can be done.
@@HeyTommyMain pls do those are pretty rare props
1:16 i do hope someone gets those tree props before they probably get destroyed by a sports stadium
I guess we could call the property managers and see if they'll let us have them. It's a possibility all they could is yes or no I don't see why not.
I was thinking the same thing! I think everything left on that stage should be saved.
@@TheFunArchivist it should. Or give it to Billy Bob's Wonderland so they can be supported. Something.
@@HeyTommyMain Trust me, Billy Bob's has plenty of spare stuff already haha
Guess what, they got saved
Hey anybody know the song that’s playing in the beginning of the video😊
"Jackson" by Jonny Cash, its the Rock afire Explosion version. Look up "Jackson Rockafire Explosion Audio"
and you shoud find it.

Are they tearing it down?
The city wants to put a football stadium on the property in 2026. So yes. There are only two stores left open at the strip mall. In Jackson Plaza.
