Hey Pauwer, I think bubbly + resuscitate is slightly better than this build without driftsmelts (and a lot better with full smelts) and helps with the perfect dodge play style. Without any smelts, you can run: CPP helm Mizu body Mizu gloves GRath coil Mizu boots This gives WEX 2, bubbly 3, resuscitate 4 (and 2 points of lock-on, so we can drop CPP helm if we need to, more on that below) With a single smelt into WEX or Crit Eye (or using any weapon with innate crit), we can swap the helm to Silver Rath helm for crit element 2, and the numbers become even better for this build compared to the full crit build. I think the playstyle is pretty similar to the evade lance you mention, but it makes perfect dodges way way easier to perform (feels like you have 2-3x as many frames to do the dodge)
It is nice that you were able to get lances to work with this build! Luckily for me, Crit Element builds fit perfectly with the Dual Blades that I've been working, but I had been worrying that it wouldn't work with other weapons like the lance because crit builds require so many skills to work that it is hard to fit in weapon specific skills.
@@PauwerPlays Just curious, do you think it would be worth switching out those Azure Rathalos Vambraces for something with guard for a lance build? Crit Boost is arguably the least important part of the build unless the lance has built in crit. You could get Guard 2 from Barroth Vambraces, and the Nergi Vambraces are actually perfect for a lance if you're willing to give up your special.
Funny enough, I've been adapting the gyro dash attack a lot more to my playstyle myself just to be able to snipe tails more easily when playing solo. (Which is when the lance shines the most anyway due to not losing aggro) My weapons aren't Grade 10 yet, so going hard on Crit Element most likely isn't essential yet, but I'll keep that in mind for later.
Personally, I would suggest going for Crit Element even without Grade 10 weapons simply because they work for all elemental damage types. The most time consuming thing in the game is creating armor sets, and having an armor set that works for almost everything is kind of amazing.
@@Draythix Of course I'm already working on the set. But I'm a F2P player and I got a job, so I can't possibly get everything I need to Grade 8 in a single week. I'll need for the event to come back before I can do that. Meanwhile, I already got a pretty decent Water Attack 5 set with good Lance skills on top and I'm working on the other elements as well. I'm not gonna just stop playing in my free time just because I can't get THE optimal set right away. You'd have a good point if Critical Element wasn't event-exclusive, but it's just not feasible for me at the moment. My Water Lance is also only 7.2, which is my weakest elemental lance if we exclude Dragon. So soloing Silver Rathalos on higher difficulties is a bit difficult, even if I got a pretty good Water set.
@@LonesomeDevil Sorry, I know that this is a hard to farm monster. I thought about typing in caveats about the monster difficulty or how rare it is in my previous comment, but ended up trying to keep things concise. If it helps at all, its spawn rate is supposed to get boosted this weekend, but I guess fighting it with a 7.2 lance will still be an issue.
It's a shame that elemental builds are almost mandatory for certain 9 star monsters like Black Diablos. For example, with Girros' Hammer 10.2 or Nightshade's HBG 10.4 Paulumu I can't defeat them due to lack of time. I think they have too much HP.
The only elemental weapons I make are the ones that need their own r6 material like rajang for thunder, misutzune for water or deviljho for dragon. Silver Rathalos has its material but they are probably super rare and I'm not going to spend the time to make a weapon.

@Draythix yep im sure you dual blade mains are very happy with this new meta! It kinda works with the lance as well but requires more effort haha :)

Guy finally dropped...good to see it ❤
@kataimason3230 thanks man hope you enjoy the vid
Great timing. I just start playing and use hbg. Now i finished the story and wanted change to lance. But i dont know what lance to make. 😢
@@maxxaragami6206 cant go wrong with the usual high element options like legiana, rathalos or zinogre :)

@@LonesomeDevil i really prefer gyro with the lance and the dash attack to monster's tails is really one of the main benefits :)

Rathalos weapons are pretty decent fire options. Elemental weapons just have bigger damage in total and elemental skills are easier to manage
@@syberaisyou don't need dragon weapons at the moment. All monsters are weak to one of the other 4 elements.
