Most underrated Chief song: Holdin My Own, great songwriting about how he’s trying to balance being a road warrior playing in bars and big arenas while also being a good father and husband. The whole Mr. Misunderstood album is perfect and Church is my favorite artist in general
Honorable mentions: - over when it’s over - guys like me - cold one - love your love the most - round here buzz - record year - talladega - holdin my own - creepin
I mean... Luke Combs is probably not past his prime or even hit his prime yet. So while I would like to see what his top 10 is now. Idk if it's as necessary as it is for other singers.
"These Boots" needed a mention. It's undoubtedly his most famous album cut and so wonderful to experience live. "Where She Told Me to Go" is so haunting--my personal favorite album cut. Lastly, "Over When it's Over" is utterly brilliant. I'm surprised it didn't make your list. Singles--your opinions are valid but I can't pretend I'm not disappointed that you don't view songs like "Homeboy," "Creepin'," and "Kill a Word" as top 10 Eric Church singles. All are certainly better than "Like a Wrecking Ball."
I’ve seen the Chief 7 times now. Idk how he doesn’t win Entertainer of the year. Man is forever a legend and my absolute favorite. Anything he does is amazing. Viva la Chief
dennis wuest 5 times for me, #6 coming in July at Frontier Days, in the pit. I hope and pray our summer isn’t canceled! Best songwriter and best live performer in America! #EFC
I’ve been waiting my whole life for someone to ask me my favorite EC songs lol. Top 10 singles- 1. Sinners like Me 2. Smoke a little smoke 3. Monsters 4. Kill a word 5. Creepin 6. Cold one 7. Some of it 8. Drink in my hand 9. Homebody 10. Like Jesus does Fav from each album- 1st album- Lightning 2nd album- Those I’ve loved 3rd album- country music Jesus 4th album- broke Record 5th album- three year old 6th album- drowning man
Eric church has never made a bad song, does so much variety in his music and still tells a story in music which is rare, love all of his new and old music. Such a great artist! Way to many good songs by him that I would have a super hard time putting it on a list, so thank you for doing that!
I disagree with your list but still love the video. Here's my Top 10: 10. How Bout You 9. Drink in My Hand 8. Mr. Misunderstood 7. Springsteen 6. Give Me Back My Hometown 5. Love Your Love the Most 4. Some of It 3. Two Pink Lines 2. Talladega 1. Like Jesus Does
Eric Church has to be the MOST under appreciated artist in the business. As much as I love all of his music, it's his album cuts that hit the hardest. His music doesn't match up with most "mainstream" Country artists, so his singles aren't fully representative of his talent. It doesn't matter how many times I listen to "Lightning", the song still gives me chills! One of my favorite things to do is just pull up all songs by Eric Church on my iPod and shuffle through them while I'm driving (singing along the entire time). Favorites would be hard to narrow down, but "Over When It's Over" is right up there!
List 10. Round here buzz 9. Can’t take it with you 8. Lightning 7. These boots 6. The hard way 5. Drink in my hand 4. Pledge allegiance to the hag 3. Before she does 2. Sinners like me 1. Love your love the most
Absolutely love the chief. Just saw him with my wife back in October on his double down tour in philly for our anniversary. Love your love the most is my song to my wife. Like Jesus does was the song I danced with my mom to at our wedding and she unexpectedly passed less than a year later. Both of those songs will always be a huge part of my life. Great videos man!
"Livin' Part Of Life" from the Sinners Like Me album holds a special place in my heart. It just sounds like everyone in the room is having a lot of fun while they're recording it.
“I’m a long-gone Waylon song on vinyl “ is one of my favorite opening line of any song. I don’t know why, but I love it. It just sounds right. A bit surprised that you didn’t include Record Year. It’s a good play on words, which you generally like. I guess it’s a bit listy, too, though and I know you’re not a fan of that. Did they cancel each other out?
Sinners Like Me because of this part, "My momma had a soft spot for a hell raisin' boy, so she had two more just like him. It takes an angel to raise a family that comes from a long line of sinners like me. Well now maybe who knows one day I'll settle down, give my dad a grandson of his own. And when the doctor smacks him, he'll probably take a swing. Cause he'll come from a long line of sinners like me." This for some reason hits me every time I hear it because it reminds me of my brother and I growing up and at some point here in the near future it will be our kids doing the same "rebellious" things.
Late to the comments, but I wanted to put a plug in for one of my favorite Eric Church songs, Round Here Buzz. I know that Grady Smith did not like this song, but for me, this is one of Eric's best songs for capturing life in a small town. I believe Eric Church is one of the best lyrics writers around. And Round Here Buzz has some great lyrics. In it, Eric perfectly captures the dicotomy of those who grow up in a small town and stay versus those who leave for big city life. Two sets of lines stand out for me in that regard. First is when he talks about the girl who left for the big city with this line: "Yeah, I'm sure there's higher highs Where the high risers rise..." And the second is this wonderful phrasing that describes the small town bar that he goes to. "No, Scotty's ain't got no vibe Got no gas in his neon light. But he's got two-for-one 'til 2:00 tonight." Round Here Buzz is definitely one of my favorite Eric Church songs for its perfect encapsulation of small town life.
Nancy, I agree wholeheartedly with everything you've said. Eric is undoubtedly the best singer/songwriter in the whole music industry in my books. Similarly to you, what I like so much about him is his creative intuition. The fact that he writes a vast majority of his songs and then has the ability and skill to musically perform it. His song "Record Year" has to be one of my favourites by him on the lyric front, the first couple lines of the second verse features a duality of meaning that can only be interpreted by the individual, "I'm countin' on a needle to save me I drop it in the groove And we go 'round and 'round And down in a spiral" I interpret one of its meanings to be the obvious spinning of a record, however I read in-between the lines that It could be a series of events happening to the persona in the song as a byproduct of an ended relationship whereby the persona has adopted an addiction to drugs, which they so heavily rely on, dropping it in the 'groove' could stand to reason that the drugs could be injected into an arm of the persona and going round and round and down in a spiral is the effects the drugs are having on the individual, the drugs to me are a coping mechanism for the shattered individual. Another of Eric's songs that are a perfect play on words are "Crazyland" and "Kill A Word". Would be interesting to hear your take!
Grady Smith hahaha! Had to give ya a hard time. By the way, do you know about the secret EP? Caldwell County. Pretty cool. “His Kind Of Money, My Kind Of Love” is a JAM!!!
My top 10 chief tracks 10 - round here buzz 9 - heart on fire 8- never break heart 7- mr misunderstood 6 -thru my raybans 5- russian roulette 4 -hell of a view 3 -people break 2 -mixed drinks about feelings 1 -mistress named music
My husband was so hurt Outsiders wasn't on this list. Some songs speak to you some don't. I love your lists. I always like to hear others peoples opinion on favorite songs. I love how you explain Eric and Dierks dealing with good and evil. They are my favorites because of that. I was quite the rebel and now I am a stay at home mom that homeschools. So i feel myself trying to balance that a lot. Its great to have music that expresses that. Its like hey i am a really good person and i want to do good but that rebel in me will always be there. Dierks really hit on that with Burning Man. Keep up the great videos and respecting country music. I have been a die hard country fan my whole life. I love all music but country has my heart. Thank you for always respecting the heart of country music.
My Top 10 Eric Church Singles (in no particular order): -"Smoke a Little Smoke" -"Drink in My Hand" -"Springsteen" -"Creepin" -"The Outsiders" -"Give Me Back My Hometown" -"Mr. Misunderstood" -"Kill a Word" -"Desperate Man" -"Monsters" Honorable Mentions: -"Some of It" -"Cold One -"Like a Wrecking Ball" -"Like Jesus Does" -"Record Year"
My top 5 all time Church songs would probably be Springsteen, Record Year, Mixed Drinks about Feelings, Lightning, and Carolina. In no particular order lol
Eric Church is one of my top 3. I've played many of his albums until my kids were ready to riot. 😄 (Gary Allan and Jamey Johnson are my other two. I wish they both would put out another album.)
1. Mixed Drinks About Feelings 2. Over When It’s Over 3. Livin’ Part of Life 4. A Man Who Was Gonna Die Young 5. Round Here Buzz 6. Heart Like A Wheel 7. Springsteen 8. Give Me Back My Hometown 9. Holdin’ My Own 10. Like A Wrecking Ball
mr misunderstood is my favorite too. I'm glad you appreciate this perfectly crafted song. This song is underappreciated as the lyrics are absolutely amazing
1. Carolina 2. Springsteen 3. Like Jesus Does 4. Smoke A Little Smoke 5. Sinners Like Me 6. These Boots 7. Talledega 8. Creepin' 9. Give Me Back My Hometown 10. Guys Like Me
Now we're talking! I might swap a few songs in that you left out... might not. BTW- his drummer is a badass. There are some of his songs that, if you listen to the drummer, he's got some exceptional, song making riffs (I know... his guitarists are great but in this day of POS, click track, lazy assed, producers it's nice to hear some great drums) You nailed #1... The rest... man... I can't pick a top 10. I get a list started... then I start moving things around... Kudos to you for at least giving it a try.
My own top 10 before watching (albums cuts included): 1. Give Me Back My Hometown 2. Talladega 3. Mr. Misunderstood 4. Knives of New Orleans 5. Springsteen 6. A Man Who Was Gonna Die Young 7. Dark Side 8. Record Year 9. Monsters 10. Mistress Named Music HM: Those I've Loved, Jukebox and a Bar
He is one of my favorite singers! Love him! I have to say my MOST favorite song by Eric Church is "That's damn rock and roll" that he did with Lzzy Hale ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hell on the heart and guys like me were the songs that got me hooked on Eric Church, deep dived into his caldwell county ep with my heart's got a memory faster then my angles can fly and his kind of money, seen him live 4 times now and it gets better and better every time. One song from his live album he did i loved so much i got it tattooed on my arm is old friends old whiskey and old songs
I'm glad I stumbled upon this video/channel. I thought I was the only EC fan whose favorite song is Knives of New Orleans. I've converted a few new fans at my local pool hall when I play it on the jukebox nightly! I agree with most of your choices but it's hard to leave Talladega off any EC list. It's arguably his most recognizable song and it's impossible not to sing along. As far as album cuts go, I'm surprisrd Mistress Named Music doesn't get more love. The imagery this song exudes is stunning. "I still remember Miss Bessie singin' Black wrinkled fingers on ivory keys" Might be my single favorite lyric (and there are many) I can't wait for the new album!
Note to self: spend Tomorrow creating my top 10 Eric Church radio cuts. I’m guessing it’ll take all day to narrow it down! I love that he has so many songs that I am obsessed with and it’ll be an inner fight to get it done- your list is solid. I’m a year late, but I’m ok with that.
"Can't Take it With You" would be my number one and the performance of "That's Damn Rock and Roll" with Lzzy Hale, i still get chills when i hear that song.
Dude Iiterally just got obsessed with Eric Church this week. His songs Chattanooga Lucy and Deperate Man and Mr Misunderstood are absolute amazing songs in my opinion.
I've been a huge Chief fan for ever! You mentioned Carolina for album covers....But Desperate Man gets me foot stomping and singing out loud EVERY TIME!! But very nice list!!!!
Eric church is my all time favorite country artist so this is my list 1. The outsiders 2. Springsteen 3.Carolina 4. Give me back my home town 5. Broke record 6. Hell of a view 7.Drink in my hand 8.stick that in your country song 9. These boots
Eric Church got me into country music. I worked with my cousin for a few months and he played Chief on repeat all day everyday while I was there. Once I realized it was a cd I asked to borrow it to rip to my ps3. For the longest time I thought it was a "best of" album. Since then I switch to country radio more often.
My top 10 favorite Eric Church songs! 1. Drink In My Head 2. Smoke A Little Smoke 3. The Outsiders 4. Creepin 5. Springsteen 6. That’s Damn Rock And Roll 7. Kill A Word 8. Some Of It 9. Give Me Back My Hometown 10. Over When It’s Over Honorable Mentions Country Music Jesus Talladega Mr. Misunderstood Hell On The Heart Like Jesus Does
Deep within the Sinners Like Me album, I love "Can't Take It with You." Great play on words in the chorus. Think about it every time I set my coffee down on my coffee table.
#2 Springsteen is a break up song of mine. Me and her remained friends ever since, but when I drove down that road from her house. I turned the radio on and there it was Eric Church w/ Springsteen. Good choice on #1 Mister Misunderstood. Thanks for the videos during this quarantine.
One of his best and most underrated song is "Where she Told me to go". Only a few people on here have mentioned it but if you listen to it and the lyrics it really hits home!
With everything going on at the moment, this was a much welcomed surprise!! I know I have been clamoring for this video for some time from you, and this knocked it out of the park. Eric Church was the first country artist who I became a huge fan of since back in the 90's when I was a big Marty Stuart fan. Still am by the way! I can remember hearing Love Your Love the Most my freshman year in college in 2009, and bought the Carolina album on iTunes! Who does that anymore?!? I had that album on repeat, and it was an album that showed the range that he had, and how strong his songwriting abilities were. Grady, as you described in this video he has had a knack from the first album to now to succeed in the mainstream, but to have more beyond the surface. I think in a roundabout way he reminded me of Marty Stuart, although I don't see him going down the Americana/Bakersfield-type music Marty has done with his Fabulous Superlatives. I've seen Eric live twice, and is an artist I will try and see live every tour he has moving forward. He knows how to put on a show, and I was glad to see him on the Double Down Tour. I'll try to put together my favorite singles, but in no particular order, and deep cuts. Although as a sidenote, I can't help but laugh when you mentioned Hippy Radio, because a drunk guy behind me in the nosebleeds kept yelling for Eric to play it last year throughout the entire show. It got to a point where everyone around the guy, myself included, were calling for him to play it to no avail. Singles Favorites Sinners Like Me Love Your Love the Most (As mentioned above, and give me some damn mustard on my fries!) Springsteen Drink In My Hand Cold One Talladega Mr. Misunderstood Record Year Round Here Buzz Some of It Album Cuts Sinners Like Me Album: Tossup between These Boots or Pledge Allegiance to the Hag, with Livin' Part of Life coming in as an upset pick. I have to go with Pledge Allegiance to the Hag. Carolina: Carolina. Without question one of my all-time favorites of his, and is one of those songs that makes you long for a place you never lived in or grew up in. Although again, I would throw Those I've Loved into the mix for this album. Chief: I line up with you again and I would say Country Music Jesus. Another song where he plants his flag/draws the line in the sand to send a message to the powers that be on where country's moral compass should be closer to. The Outsiders: First reaction would be That's Damn Rock & Roll, but I could easily go the opposite direction and say A Man Who Was Gonna Die Young. Mr. Misunderstood: Knives of New Orleans or Mistress Named Music. Flip a coin for this one. Desperate Man: Heart Like a Wheel or Higher Wire. If I had to narrow it done, I would pick Heart Like a Wheel. Thanks again Grady for this video. Here's to getting a video about Marty Stuart or at least about his album The Pilgrim! I'll continue to say that I will go to my grave that it is one of the best country albums ever recorded. Change my mind!
I still remember the day I heard Mr. Misunderstood for the first time. I was getting ready to take a shower and I pulled up Itunes radio and Mr. Misunderstood popped up and I sat and listened to it and I fell in love with it!
Just found you today and I love the channel! Your whole journey through country music almost mimics mine identically (also brought into the fold with Toby Keith in 2001 and have found my way to “indie”country). I’ve loved Eric since I saw the video for Two Pink Lines on CMT back in the day. This isn’t totally my top ten but I think you definitely hit on songs I love that weren’t as popular. Anyhow thanks for the quarantine entertainment!
You know an artist is great when a top 10 (heck even top 20) list can't contain all the great songs from their catalog. Church's catalog is one with an abundance of beyond solid songs that will never hit the ears of most general country music fans, and that's a real shame. Like you said in the video, Eric has songs that fit the bill for everything from a good time to tragedy and along with being so brutally honest, that is what makes him one of the greatest musicians and writers of this generation.
I will always have a soft spot for Eric church in my heart because he was my dad’s favorite artist. He even had “Lived, Loved, And will die, Holding my own tattooed on his shoulder.
The thing that makes EC different than anyone else right now is that everyone likes something different about him. Some like the party songs, some like the super experimental stuff, some like the ballads. He's able to make all of these different types of music consistently great.
My first tattoo when I was 19 was “Funny how a melody sounds like a memory.” Which now makes me laugh a little with another line from the song about “Back when this old tattoo had brand new ink.” Eric Church is the man.
Love every song of Eric Church!! The double down tour was amazing last year. My top 5 - Over when it’s over - Record year - Ain’t killed me yet - Livin’ part of life - Country music Jesus Honorable mentions: - Dark Side - Heart like a Wheel - Chattanooga Lucy - Some of It
This is a HARD list. I like yours, but this would be mine. I had to keep 11 songs though, because I couldn't eliminate any of them. 10B-Give me Back My Home Town 10A-Sinners Like Me 9-Talladega 8-Round Here Buzz 7-Homeboy 6-Mr. Misunderstood 5-Springsteen 4-Monsters 3-Over When It's Over 2-Smoke A Little Smoke 1-Some of It All me again tomorrow & those might be a different order. Haha I hated to leave Kill A Word of that list & my 2 favorites non-releases are Lightning & Jack Daniels
When I think about youuuu
I think about quarantine
Think about COVID-19
Think of how my hands were so dry.
Grady Smith haaaa

Give Me Back My Hometown is the only song that can make you teary eyed about Pizza Hut
Becca G
He out pizzad the hut
I’ve been to that exact Pizza Hut. I asked them if they new about Eric Church mentioning them in his song. They just laughed
He really said, no one out pizzas the hut.
Ten best Eric Church songs:

Too hard to narrow it down, right?
I’m really happy he put lightning
Amen to that💯💯
His first two albums are literally gold.
That doesn't make sense
Most underrated Chief song: Holdin My Own, great songwriting about how he’s trying to balance being a road warrior playing in bars and big arenas while also being a good father and husband. The whole Mr. Misunderstood album is perfect and Church is my favorite artist in general

An Alan Jackson or luke combs list would be cool
Yesss!
Alan Jackson would have to be a top 1000 because he’s so good
Yeah Jackson or king George
I mean... Luke Combs is probably not past his prime or even hit his prime yet. So while I would like to see what his top 10 is now. Idk if it's as necessary as it is for other singers.
@@cgk6312 I know but just thought it would be cool to see

This might be the best comment on this video I've seen so far. Totally agree with you.
Yes yes yes to These Boots! My favorite Church song for sure.
I wish he hadn’t just narrowed it down to singles as well. I never loved homeboy though, one of the very few of his I will skip almost every time
Kill a word is SOOO underrated also love “these boots”
I’ve seen the Chief 7 times now. Idk how he doesn’t win Entertainer of the year. Man is forever a legend and my absolute favorite. Anything he does is amazing. Viva la Chief

Because he doesn’t kiss Nashville’s ass. That’s literally the only reason. It’s bullshit but it’s true.
I've seen now 5 times.. and can't figure it why he hasn't won Entertainer of the year yet!! He plays for us and leaves it all on the table!!
I see him everytime he plays Nashville. Best live performances hands down.
He lost in 2019 to a lip-syncer. Tells you all you need to know about how much that award matters.

Eric church has never made a bad song, does so much variety in his music and still tells a story in music which is rare, love all of his new and old music. Such a great artist! Way to many good songs by him that I would have a super hard time putting it on a list, so thank you for doing that!
I disagree with your list but still love the video. Here's my Top 10:
10. How Bout You

7. Springsteen
6. Give Me Back My Hometown
5. Love Your Love the Most
4. Some of It
3. Two Pink Lines

1. Like Jesus Does
Springsteen is #1 and there’s no argument. Disgraceful list
How bout you is definitely underated
How bout is so good and so forgotten. It really is a humankind anthem.
Eric Church has to be the MOST under appreciated artist in the business. As much as I love all of his music, it's his album cuts that hit the hardest. His music doesn't match up with most "mainstream" Country artists, so his singles aren't fully representative of his talent. My favorite Eric Church song is “Those I’ve loved” for sure, such a good song with so much emotion. He has so many great songs
Absolutely love the chief. Just saw him with my wife back in October on his double down tour in philly for our anniversary. Love your love the most is my song to my wife. "Livin' Part Of Life" from the Sinners Like Me album holds a special place in my heart. It just sounds like everyone in the room is having a lot of fun while they're recording it.
I absolutely love Springsteen!! Personally for me it would be #1 but #2 is close enough lol
Ok but what about...
1) Talladega
2) Record Year
3) Heart Like a Wheel
He said Record Year was the final cut.
Talladega would have made my list.
I agree about Record Year.
Talladega might be my favorite
Talladega is really good, surprised it didn't make it
“I’m a long-gone Waylon song on vinyl “ is one of my favorite opening line of any song. I don’t know why, but I love it. It just sounds right. A bit surprised that you didn’t include Record Year. It’s a good play on words, which you generally like. I guess it’s a bit listy, too, though and I know you’re not a fan of that. Did they cancel each other out?
It's both the creativeness of the line & the flashes delivery.
*flawless
This man has so many good tracks. He’s an absolute modern legend
Talladega and Homeboy, both great songs
Sinners Like Me because of this part, "My momma had a soft spot for a hell raisin' boy, so she had two more just like him. It takes an angel to raise a family that comes from a long line of sinners like me.
Well now maybe who knows one day I'll settle down, give my dad a grandson of his own. And when the doctor smacks him, he'll probably take a swing. Cause he'll come from a long line of sinners like me." This for some reason hits me every time I hear it because it reminds me of my brother and I growing up and at some point here in the near future it will be our kids doing the same "rebellious" things.
I started putting mustard on my fries because of that song. I never thought to do that, I always put ketchup but it's so good.
Seems that I’m not the only one who does that. Feels better
Eric church is my favorite artist and give me back my hometown is my favorite song
Hungover & Hardup, those I’ve loved, & over when’s its over should have been released as singles
First is when he talks about the girl who left for the big city with this line: "Yeah, I'm sure there's higher highs
Where the high risers rise..."
And the second is this wonderful phrasing that describes the small town bar that he goes to. "No, Scotty's ain't got no vibe
Got no gas in his neon light. But he's got two-for-one 'til 2:00 tonight."
Round Here Buzz is definitely one of my favorite Eric Church songs for its perfect encapsulation of small town life.
His song "Record Year" has to be one of my favourites by him on the lyric front, the first couple lines of the second verse features a duality of meaning that can only be interpreted by the individual,
"I'm countin' on a needle to save me
I drop it in the groove
And we go 'round and 'round
And down in a spiral"
I interpret one of its meanings to be the obvious spinning of a record, however I read in-between the lines that It could be a series of events happening to the persona in the song as a byproduct of an ended relationship whereby the persona has adopted an addiction to drugs, which they so heavily rely on, dropping it in the 'groove' could stand to reason that the drugs could be injected into an arm of the persona and going round and round and down in a spiral is the effects the drugs are having on the individual, the drugs to me are a coping mechanism for the shattered individual.
Another of Eric's songs that are a perfect play on words are "Crazyland" and "Kill A Word".
Would be interesting to hear your take!
Re: Like Jesus Does
Isn’t it “twice on Sunday”? You know...like the day most folks go to church...haha!
Oh dammit I said Saturday didn't I

My husband took me to Eric church's hometown... It made the song so real. The pizza hut used to be almost the only sit down hangout there

Jacob Martin very solid
I saw him a year ago today in Greensboro. You have to see him live, Grady! Carolina brought me to tears (as it often does) but even more so live.
I don't think could narrow down one favorite Eric Church song. I love all his songs. He is amazingly talented and his shows are awesome!
Thats where im at.
My top 5 all time Church songs would probably be Springsteen, Record Year, Mixed Drinks about Feelings, Lightning, and Carolina. In no particular order lol
don pedro Love Mixed Drinks! When he and Joanna do it live, sends chills! Probably my favorite song in the live show!
Two Pink Lines was the first Eric Church song I ever heard on my Yahoo Launch player. I love that song I am so happy you have it on your list.
Wow, Grady...WHERE THE HELL WAS “HOMEBOY”?!! Nowhere in the Top 10?! That’s just wrong!
edvaira6891 How many different ways did he mean “Homeboy”? The guy is a genius
Seriously that’s my favorite song by him
Eric Church is one of my top 3. I've played many of his albums until my kids were ready to riot. 😄
(Gary Allan and Jamey Johnson are my other two. I wish they both would put out another album.)
I miss Gary Allen. We need him back. Saw an all day concert years ago with him, McGraw, Chesney, and some others. It was a great day 😉
Gary Allan is very reliable when ya just need so good music
@@maggiemcgee8487 I agree. He's been my go-to for many years and I've seen him in concert more than any other artists.

I'm not a huge Eric Church fan, but I respect him, and I think that's pretty spot on for most of us where he isn't our type of country
Haven’t watched the video yet and I already know “Knives of New Orleans” will be at Grady’s #1 spot
Underrated: Hungover and Hardup. Can I get a thumbs up?
Springsteen should've been #1 though
Now we're talking! I might swap a few songs in that you left out... might not.
BTW- his drummer is a badass. There are some of his songs that, if you listen to the drummer, he's got some exceptional, song making riffs (I know... his guitarists are great but in this day of POS, click track, lazy assed, producers it's nice to hear some great drums)
You nailed #1... The rest... man... I can't pick a top 10. I get a list started... then I start moving things around... Kudos to you for at least giving it a try.
My own top 10 before watching (albums cuts included):

Yes Two Pink Lines,,, one of my favorite early songs Church. Thanks for going way back!!!!!
He is one of my favorite singers! Love him!
I have to say my MOST favorite song by Eric Church is "That's damn rock and roll" that he did with Lzzy Hale ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
‘Springsteen’ is one of my all time favorites. Also watching this as his new album just released! 🙌🏻
Grady is delivering quarantine happiness one video at a time. ❤
Mr. Misunderstood is one of my favorite albums of all time and Mr. Misunderstood is his best song.
He’s been my favorite singer ever since I saw him live in Salt Lake. Best live show I’ve ever seen!
"I still remember Miss Bessie singin'
Black wrinkled fingers on ivory keys"
Might be my single favorite lyric (and there are many)
I can't wait for the new album!
Livin Part of Life will always be my favorite.
Elliot Benson such an underrated song
Note to self: spend Tomorrow creating my top 10 Eric Church radio cuts. I’m guessing it’ll take all day to narrow it down! I love that he has so many songs that I am obsessed with and it’ll be an inner fight to get it done- your list is solid. I’m a year late, but I’m ok with that.
"Can't Take it With You" would be my number one and the performance of "That's Damn Rock and Roll" with Lzzy Hale, i still get chills when i hear that song.
My top 5:
1. Cold One
2. Springsteen
3. How Bout You
4. Drink in My Hand
5. Record Year
Sinners Like Me is definitely my favorite album of his.
Round Here Buzz into Kill a Word! They go together for me. I listened to that album thousands of times. Can’t wait for the new album!

Dude Iiterally just got obsessed with Eric Church this week. His songs Chattanooga Lucy and Deperate Man and Mr Misunderstood are absolute amazing songs in my opinion.
Luke Palamidis 2 more songs you might like as well by him then. longer gone and ain’t killed me yet
I've been a huge Chief fan for ever! You mentioned Carolina for album covers....But Desperate Man gets me foot stomping and singing out loud EVERY TIME!! But very nice list!!!!

♥️ this video & Eric Church!!!! My favorite Eric Church song is HEART LIKE A WHEEL! It was my most listened to song of 2018!

Omg I can’t believe you mentioned Hippie Radio. I absolutely love that song and nobody ever talks about it.
It's one of the ones I've listened to most since the album came out
It's one of my favorites as well.
My dad has always had Church on growing up and now we both share our love for him as our favourite artist
Deep within the Sinners Like Me album, I love "Can't Take It with You." Great play on words in the chorus. Think about it every time I set my coffee down on my coffee table.
My personal fav along with so many others

Album Cuts
Sinners Like Me Album: Tossup between These Boots or Pledge Allegiance to the Hag, with Livin' Part of Life coming in as an upset pick.
I literally almost cried when i saw this was up because it’s a video i have been waitingggg for
I honestly tried mustard on my fries because of that song and now I kinda love it...
Carolina...YES YES YES!!!!! My fav all time Church song
Eric Church is my favorite artist of all time. Great pick at number 1.
So happy you mentioned country music Jesus! My favorite song by him!
Great video! As someone raised on old country, but went to rock, I got into Church only because of Desperate Man. It's been fun catching up!
Carolina is my absolute favorite Eric Church song. But give me back my hometown is a close second.
I actually have NEVER NOT liked one of his singles! Exceptional guy!
Great video Eric church has to many good songs
Mr. Misunderstood is my second favorite Eric Church song ever. I agree with your positioning of it.
I still remember the day I heard Mr. Misunderstood for the first time. I was getting ready to take a shower and I pulled up Itunes radio and Mr. Misunderstood popped up and I sat and listened to it and I fell in love with it!
Awesome review, one of my favourite Eric Church songs is “These Boots”
Just found you today and I love the channel! Your whole journey through country music almost mimics mine identically (also brought into the fold with Toby Keith in 2001 and have found my way to “indie”country). I’ve loved Eric since I saw the video for Two Pink Lines on CMT back in the day. This isn’t totally my top ten but I think you definitely hit on songs I love that weren’t as popular.
Anyhow thanks for the quarantine entertainment!
Thanks for the coverage of my all time favorite Country artist. Chief has been good from day one in my book.
Mr. Misunderstood and Talladega are my top 2 songs. (If I had to pick) Talladega gives me chills everytime
The thing that makes EC different than anyone else right now is that everyone likes something different about him. Some like the party songs, some like the super experimental stuff, some like the ballads. He's able to make all of these different types of music consistently great.
“These Boots” & “Those I’ve Loved”
His Kind of Money is my all time favorite!
