This is a MASSIVE improvement over the original Separate Ways. Capcom did an amazing job on this DLC. I don’t know why people are complaining about it costing 10 dollars, considering that it’s longer and better than the original version.

Luis Serra is really like the heart of RE4 remake he glued everything the characters and the plot together perfectly, capcom outdid themselves there, he's absolutely my new favorite RE character.

If anyone didn't catch that little ester egg, at the last scene with wesker, where the soundtrack is playing at the end: The soundtrack is from RE5/Resident evil 5 and it all points to Resident evil 5, being that it is the next remake coming next year. Also the ship is also an "Easter egg"🥚 from RE5 being that you fight in it.
If capcom goes through with the remakes next year and the following years , they’re on a roll .

Okay, couple things about this DLC.
1. I love the fact that capcom added more details to the story. About Luis and Ada of how they worked together.
2. The fact that Ada gets the chance to face the refrigerators (see what I did there 😂) compared to the original one is really really impressive. It just gives the idea that our girl Ada can fight ANYTHING.
3. This DLC has not disappoint me. I think this DLC is pretty surprising like the whole Leon's campaign itself.
So all RE4 remake is not a fail in my opinion. So well done Capcom 👌🏻

But I think Capcom realizes that they screw up on 3. So that's why they leave a long time gap to make 4 a better one because so many people expect 4 to be good. And so far imo, they did well

The fact that the laser also has the same pattern as the og.
Changes in the Game :
1. So the Black Verdugo become the U-3 and his tail later fight us like a Giant burrowing Centipede.
2. We fight El Gigante while Travelling from Roof to Roof.
3. Ada's Got infected and Wesker somehow able to arrive in this Island.
4. A New type of Monster that looks like a Hunter.
5. Saddler now has a Tentacles from his back to fight Ada unlike the Original.
6. It is shown that Wesker took Krauser's body in his Ship and preparing for Uroboros Project. Meaning the RE5 would get a Remake.
7. RIP CVX

Fun fact: Lily Gao who voiced Ada in this game also played her in the recent live-action movie and when Ada showed up in the Mila Jovovich movies the actress who played her, Li Bingbing was dubbed over by Sally Cahill, her original voice actress in the games, due to Li's having a heavy accent.
Ada's voice actress did Ada a lot better from before, good job :)

that VA is competing to be one of the worse of all the VA that dubbed ada wong in the past,the VA from 2 remake did a better job,although it wasn't one of the best either.
Y'know, this whole DLC is what a a true 'B scenario' looks like. Plus, it really makes me appreciate just how sincere Luis was in wanting to make things right, especially when he flipped out about the medicine....
I respect him that much more for it now. Definitely cemented himself as my favorite character in RE4 and one of my favorite characters in the whole series. Made him dying that much more of a gut punch.
Overall, the plot hadn't really changed too much. The main points were the same, only a bit darker, edgier in some ways, more subtle in others, and clarify that yes, Wesker still got what he wanted from Krauser's body and was a little more present in the story... and sounds more a like a douchebag than ever, but without the evil Brit charm because he sounds like a smug American, so you just wanna punch him in the face... like a lot.

For a $10 price tag, this is WELL worth it. It's a well-paced DLC that gives more context in the story of both Ada and Luis, the amber, Ada's business-ship with Wesker, and even Wesker himself, while making it make sense for the main story in Leon's eyes. Loved playing and watching it from start to finish.
The only complaint I'll make is that I don't think the price tag should've applied to the folk who bought the higher edition (the one costing $70). I don't mind spending extra on this game, but like, I already spent way more than half hundred dollars on it. As said before, well worth the price regardless.
For RE3R fans are disappointing.

@@janmil5630 someones not the brightest , the game goes on sale regularly and it has not been out for a year, i picked it up for 25 and bought dlc for 8. 33 pounds is a dead steal for 22 hours of content and 2 New game plus. 16 hours campaign Scenario B 4 hours and 4 hours for mercenaries. and for me personally a free PSVR2 version for VR owners.

That test subject dying in the laser room was the best moment for me in this dlc. At first i tought youre gonna go through that room just once but nicely done😀

If you have played Resident Evil 2 Remake, you understand what Ada means here. In RE2 Remake, while Leon Kennedy is fighting the Final Boss, she gives him a rocket launcher gun to help him without being seen, that is, without realizing that she is there, and Leon kills the Final Boss with that gun. Likewise, at the end of Resident Evil 4, Ada gives him a special RPG, allowing him to kill the Final Boss.
That intro got me feeling a lil somethin….. 🤭

Everything that is from OG RE4 Cut Contents becomes Ada's content in Remake. The Laser room is such a fitting encounter environment for Ada due to her spy skills for a sneaky girl like her while the encounter with Verdugo is referencing how Jill encounters Nemesis in OG and Remake RE3.
I find an interesting fact that U-3 Fight is basically what Gravedigger from RE3 Fight looks like in the remake instead we got U-3 to appear in the remake, What a teasing for Gravedigger who doesn't get a chance to appear in Remake but sadly we don't get to see U-3 fight in hanged containers with time limit just like in OG but still well decent for Cut contents that get a spotlight in this Separate Ways DLC

Idc what ANYBODY says, I love this version of Ada and I love the direction they went with her voice actress. 😤👏 Her voice being just naturally lower totally works for her character being so mysterious, she doesn’t sound monotone. There’s a difference between the actress naturally having a deep voice vs putting NO EMOTION into her lines. The emotion was there, the inflection was there and I loved all of her scenes. I totally got the vibe she was a secret agent keeping things close to her chest. There were maybe 2 lines she delivered throughout the entire game that sounded SLIGHTLY strange, barely even noticeable and can easily be chalked up to inexperience with the medium. But to try and describe it as a “horrible performance” is just WAY too over dramatic. If you TRULY didn’t like the performance that’s FINE but there’s a difference between “I don’t like something” and “this thing is BAD” and even if you didn’t like her performance it was NOWHERE NEAR subpar. And if it really “ruined” the remake for you then you just need to frankly grow up, it AINT that deep and your making a mountain out of a molehill. Like a child. People can cry be toxic AF all they want. We’re NEVER getting a white actress as Ada agin, go cry about it 🤷🏻♂️ being toxic fans isn’t gonna get you guys anything and I hope the creators double down on ALL their choices going forward 👏
I agree completely. I thought it was perfect. Ada Wong is a character that's so easy to do wrong cause she easily falls into that "sexy femme fatale" caricature but they managed to steer away from that by giving her this VA. She's still sexy, still mysterious, still beautiful, but not completely stereotypical and obvious. Like it's actually believable that she's a super good agent that just happens to be beautiful at the same time.
The 2 most things I missed in re4 remake are back, I'm happy, beautiful dlc

Ada's VA is slowly growing on me.
They returned Cable Сar Ride, Castle Sewers, Segment of mines with smashing mechanisms, Laser Room and U-3. But I really liked those parts of playing as Leon. The Dragon Room and Pendulum of Death traps in the castle were never added to Remake. All these moments were quite memorable. Many people prefer to play primarily only the Main Campaign, and moving some segments into the Ada campaign makes it feel like the main campaign is shorter than it was in the original, and creates the feeling that there are fewer memorable moments in the game. The developers sacrificed content from the original Main Story to make Separate Ways better.

My first time hearing it.....that isn't the right voice for Ada. It sounds so off, like she lost any personality she had before, same with Wesker. They sound so generic now, their's no depth in their voice acting that conveys a personality like previously.

The reason that it was so low in price ($10) was because they were selling back parts of the game that was already created when first released. then finally shat all over the 1st ada outfit. A scam.
