She didn't squeeze preflop in BB.. I don't know what blinds were but she was very short stacked. it would be pretty impossible to put her on any pocket pair.. it had to be an ace or nothing. Great fold

Reminds me of a hand I played in a tournament. I was dealt JJ, raised it and got a callee-we had the two big stacks at the table.
The flop came JTT, and I checked, while the caller bet out.
I slow played it and flat called his bet. The turn brought nothing that would help my opponent, so, I checked, he bet and I called.
The same thing in the river-I checked, and he bet. Stupid me, I flat called, when I meant to raise, and was kicking myself-until he flipped over TT. Dude flopped quads against my full house.
I should have lost all of my chips, but he thought he was slow-playing me, too, and did not want to scare me away.
When he saw my full house, he groaned 🤣

Online game I played recently, I had 6/3 offsuit. The 3 was hearts. I folded, since I was a short stack, and that wasn't remotely playable in my condition.
Flop is 2/4/6 of hearts, turn is 5 of hearts. I folded a straight flush.

Can someone explains me the last hand please! Why phil was out? I didnt get it. Sorry Im new in poker.
You count the 5 best possible cards. Phil has a full house 555AA, where as Black has a full house 99955, where the 9 is higher than the 5.
Maybe someone can help me with this. I'm new to poker but have been watching to the point of addiction lately.
How did trip 9s beat two Aces & trip 5s?
2 Aces and 3 5s is a full house. The other guy had 3 9s and 2 5s, which where on the board, and which also makes a full house. To compare the full houses, you need only to check who has the higher Triple.
To make it even simpler, all you need to do is check which full house has the highest 3 of a kind.

It's because the system doesn't take into account the cards that have been folded. And I don't think the system "sucks". From the point of view of the players still in the hand, the 7 of clubs is an out.

Kristen checked too quickly ... an obvious giveaway that she had the only Ace ... confirming Michael's suspicion by Kristen's check-raise after Michael's mid-raise ... hence a "pretty quick fold from Zhang". I almost thought Phil was big enough to fold that when he called out Andy's 9s full.
He should have folded anyway though, any pocket pair above 7 would have beaten him at that point.

Those are baseless assumptions. Fact remains she had nothing to lose and everything to win if she had waited for the river. She made a bad call.
His chance of betting or calling in the river are definitely better than calling a raise on that turn board !!!

I've seen a ton of these highlight videos with sick cooler situations etc that involve Helmuth, and he's ALWAYS on the losing end of it. I'm sure it's happened the other way at some point with how much poker Helmuth has played over the years, but I'm not sure the cameras ever catches it. In terms of TV poker, the guy seems like one of the unluckiest individuals on the face of the planet. It's not surprising he whines more than any other pro I can think of. Dude gets his ass handed to him over and over again in these kind of scenarios lol.

THE main reason I quit playing poker...
I would play in poker rooms..where there is a rake...the more hands dealt the more rake. They arent even shuffling the cards
For a pair to be flopped on the board its 6-1....when pairs are flopped 5 straight hands they are NOT shuffling the cards.
The last hand I played was I had J7. ....and 77J was flopped. The guy is betting into me. We get to tbe end and the guy has JJ.
Before that I woukd routinely tell them they werent shuffling the cards...they didnt like me. The greatest moment in a gamblers life is when they realize they cant win and quit

Better write it as 555AA. Bigger trio first, then the pair. So 999(55) > 555(AA). Any 999xx will be better than any 555xx.
