Without the 9 in the river hellmuth could only have 2 pairs the least... If deniel had a single ace he goes up to trips. Sometimes u have to give up the better hand... That simple. Poker is a mind game... He played it safe... I wont blame him for that...

Really? Daniel won with the worst hand of the 2 almost every time. That is luck. Daniel is my favorite player btw. Phil is a great player, he is extremely unlucky. I am talking about the hands that went to the river. Daniel got lucky in a lot of those hands.

Phil isn't any more unlucky than others he just likes to complain and all the videos where he blows up just become famous so we just don't see hands where he got lucky and won.

Strength is relative. That full boat was weak as fuck. All he could beat was a bluff, daniel never does that with a 9 or a king.
Then maybe instead of folding to a raise he could have checked instead to see if Daniel would bet then call or just get to show down. If he’s snap folding to a raise in that spot then he making a mistake and making it to easy to exploit him

Underrated part of the first hand is how Negreanu verbally bluffs him before the flop. He says "I'm only 67 percent," suggesting he knew Hellmuth had K-high and verbally representing A-high himself. Guaranteed Hellmuth remembered this when the raise came on the river.
joe chrow why couldn't he have a weak ace? itd be to easy could of even been a suited A 2. And he did check so why would he bet with trips on the flop and scare his opponent off the only thing that would bet there is a weak hand.
The thing is almost all aces are within Negreanu's(most people really) range. The continuous checks was either playing the ace slow or Negreanu has nothing. Being quick with betting was good on Negreanu's part, insta fold was a good call.
