@@MarilynFromTarotClarityOh! I also love the way you said, I prefer TdM, but I would be remiss if I didn’t study RWS. Yes! Exactly. I’m an RWS gal, but I feel this way about TdM… it’s not my fave, but especially because I like history & historic decks, I have to explore & find a way into TdM too. It helped me to find different TdMs like the Fournier Spanish, La Corte dei Tarocchi, the Del Vecchi… because the basic TdM artwork just doesn’t do it for me. 🤷♀️ But I do have the CBD for study. Thank you Shelby. I enjoy making these videos very much. My initial purpose for creating them was for my descendants, so they could know more about me and how I approached the cards. This is important to me because after I had been reading the cards for about 25 years already, I learned that my own great grandmother had been a card reader; but there was no record or trace of how she read the cards and no clues to what deck(s) she might have used. So it became very important to me to create these videos so that some day my grandbabies, and maybe even their grandbabies, will have access to me if they want to learn. So these videos are acts of love for them that others, at least for now, have access to. Thank you for appreciating them. ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity I can feel the depth and substance. So much more so than just your average videos...what a fantastic thing to know that your ancestor was a card reader !!! Your posterity is very fortunate. A whole other layer...
Hello Ms Marilyn. I just stumbled upon this video and although I didn't see it at the beginning of my tarot journey (3/4 years ago) they're still the decks I started with !!
Thank you for this video Marilyn and for taking the time to show and explain the decks. By the way, the coloring on the Fournier Tarot de Marseille was done by Maritxu Guler, the woman who created the Gran Tarot Esoterico for the Fournier Anniversary.
Ahh, ok. That's an interesting thing to know. Fournier decks are great quality, don't you think? I love them. Thank you for sharing your insights.~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity yes, I agree, I love them too, and I have a few of them. I love to share, just like you 😉 Did you know that the Gran Tarot Esoterico was the first Deck she created when she was 69? Heraclio Fournier was her friend and he asked her to create a deck for the anniversary of the Company.
New age, I agree 😂 I thought, I have a lot of decks 🤦🏼♀️ 140, but I love your collection , I’m going to search for that Lo Scarabeo deck 💫👌 thank u ❤️🇳🇱
Hello Dawn :) Your timing is uncanny. I will be launching my Patreon account within a month or so, and my objective is to make the content of my classes available to more people at a fraction of the cost to them, (spread out over a longer period of time, so it's not as concentrated.) I just made the announcement last night in my most recent video on this channel. Keep posted for updates. If you'd rather sign up for my class, I'd be delighted to have you. Which decks are you interested in Diane? Most can probably be had through Amazon or the publishers. I didn't post them because there's too many to post.
Do you mean the first deck I showed, or the Il Meneghello? The first deck is the Ancient Italian Tarot by lo scarabeo and the other was the Soprafino by Il Meneghello. Did I show any other Italian decks? I'm not sure I did. The other Il Meneghello deck I showed was The Classic Marseille, in Italian Tarocco Marsiglio Classico. But that was more of a Swiss inspired TdM. ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity yes the Soprafino !!! I found 2 of them on eBay around $150 ish I have the Ancient Italian and definitely agree it’s a beautiful deck! My first love is the French Marseilles but the Italian decks are a close second! I guess I’m a sucker for the historical decks I have the Radiant Rider Waite and a couple clones but the majority of my decks are Marseilles, Italian and of course I have the box set 1JJ Swiss! I also have the B P Grimaud red box edition from 1970. And just for fun I have a Thoth deck just to shake things up a little 🙏
@@ReikibyMike-SixofCupsTarot LOL about shaking things up. It might actually be less expensive to buy directly from Il Meneghello, or if you're in the States through Arnel. I'm not sure of my Arnel spelling though. I'll try to find both websites for you and if you dig deep on Google you might have some luck too. I have way too many decks that I don't particularly like, but that's what happens after 47 years. I've never sold any of my decks, but I've given a few away to my children and their partners, and my grandbabies, but I've kept them in the family. But I'm guessing I could fetch a few $ if I sold a few that I can live without. They're all in pristine condition. I'd be the ideal seller lol. I'll let you know if I have any luck finding the Soprafino for less. ~ Marilyn
