My general Advise would be
1. If you hit two stoplosses in a day Dont Trade further. Most likely you would end up with more losses.
2. Be content with what you get. Close the day if you have alreay earnt around 2k
3. Dont trade during inventories results(wednesday 8pm)
4. Wait for the US market to open if you dont see good volume(6.30 pm - 7pm)
5. Dont over trade.

As you know, crude oil is a source of daily income for a lot of intraday traders. Brokers like Alice and Astha do provide good leverage also.
But from December 1, margin rules by SEBI are getting implemented. So please help us understand how it will impact crude oil traders after phase 2-3-4 of application of this margin rule.
It's haunting and please share your views on how it will effect traders and brokerage firms like Alice and Astha also, won't they get shut down because of this stupid rule.

Three things I realised about Astha Trade:
1. The brokerage for one lot buy/sell is around INR 116.
2. Intraday square-off timings at this current moment is 11 p.m.
3. Margin for buying/selling one lot crude oil intraday is approx 10300.
One disadvantage of Astha Trade is the unavailability of these information anywhere on their page. I have asked their support team about any reference for brokerage and margins across different scrips. They did not have any answer to that.
hi is there any mini lot of crude oil containing 10 quantities . i saw there are scrip of crude oil named as "crudeoilm" containing 10 quantities
vedant gaur it’s not a tradable instrument. I’d suggest you to just put 10k in for trading crude oil intraday with the mentality that you might lose it all. Just look at the crude oil today, it dropped 200 points. I lost 4k (including brokerage). Easily could have been 11k. If you’re caught up in the wrong trade, it can wipe out 10k in an hour. So trade with that 10k for understanding the price action of the scrip. Know the strong supports and resistances. Know how volatile it is across the day. I don’t usually trade stocks. Mostly I traded USDINR options because I have knowledge of global economy (I’m a math/finance student) and I definitely understand option dynamics better than most people. I’ve started trading crude oil only recently (thanks to Rajan!) and I can tell this is a tough scrip to trade on its worse days. So you need to know what kind of range is possible. That requires time and experience trading the scrip. So go with that nothing to lose mentality. And better not to touch it on hot days. Even I’ll try to do that from now on. :-)
So we can only trade in 100 quantity lot and per buy and sell lot we have to pay 116 rupees brokreage right??
vedant gaur yes. But if it’s a good trade you would make 500-600 easily within five minutes. A good trade can give you 1000 and more. Considering the leverage they are offering I’d say the brokerage is ok.

Probably a silly question but what happened with me recently is while i was in a trade, my internet stopped working and while i was in trade i was in profit, but by the time i got the internet working again, i noticed i was in loss and my SL had been hit. I was able to cut my loss by getting another trade right. So my question to you is, how do you manage your set up for such "non-trading" scenarios? I trade on my PC, not on any app. Hoping you respond to this. TIA!

That applies to Equity. Regarding CRUDEOIL you can make money atleast three or four times a week as mentioned in the video due to its volatility. Also, in the video, you could see that we were able to trade based on patterns almost every day.. You should skip if you dont get any Good setups. Simple

Money management is required, you can't trade with 3 lots on Inventory when you don't know what is going to happen... I have been trading Crude Oil for the last 3 years by myself and I stopped on the Inventory day because I use to mostly loose money or come out with a small profit...Price Action and all does not work when it is Inventory day just for you to know...

This strategy will not work now because, crude oil margin on astha trade for intraday is 86000 today and completely your funds. Astha will not fund it, new trade rule since beginning of this year I think. This video needs to be updated with a new strategy.

Nrml margin is for positional or carry forward trade
Mis margin is for intraday trade - it auto squareoff end of day usually it is about 10x margin
That is taking example if stock price is 100 and 1000 qty. U just need 10000 to place mis
