Wow! This is old, but I like it.
Very interesting!
It runs
An elevator pit is about 3-4 feet deep from the lowest landing, at the bottom most have an oil buffer or springs to lessen the impact if the car should fall, and not crash on the bottom of the hoist way. Also hydraulic elevators have a cylinder when the piston moves up and down plus the steel pipe line from the power unit. Thus the clearing beneath the car top of cylinder head. With a hydraulic the cab feels being pushed up, traction the cab is being pulled up, later has a smoother ride.
it looks like a traction, seeing there is no ram..
and i bet my huge bright light would help here, huh DD? :D
HI Diesel ....how you been. This is Bill Vick...used to live in Indiana.....now back for good in Tennessee.
It is almost a full-on double rainbow.
look at this!
Wow. This is an amazing elevator! I wonder what the cab looks like.
What does the pit do, and does not having one make much difference? Also, how can I tell between traction and hydraulic elevators without seeing the mechanics?
Thanks for answering my questions, and keep up the good work! :D
Just out of interest, were you in this building for a purpose, or just passing and saw a chance to film inside?
1:41 what's that strange buzzing?
i think thats a sander or a drill
Has it been broken all those years?
have you or can you do a video of it working or does it not work?
Do you know what brand this is?
It's a homemade elevator.
