Psion 5 Epoc unboxing attic find. Still works!!!!

Psion 5. I was wanting to buy one already for 4 months. Then I struck gold! In my parents attic I found one!!! Perfect condition. No scratches. No leaked batteries.
And... It works!!!!!!
I loooove old 90's - 2000 tech. Very robust and cool.

oh, what a throwback! not the exact one I borrowed from my parents but very similar. I used to write small journal stuff but was mainly drawing on it with the stylus

These are still great. If they could change keyboard layout from Qwerty to Dvorak I'd use one daily to relieve eye strain.

Adjust the contrast to see the screen better. And turn on the back-light with fn plus space.

I had this and the 5MX and loved it. If you're interested check out Planet computers... The creators of Psion who have made phones in this form factor with this proprietary keyboard too!! Google the Cosmo communicator or their upcoming Planet Gemini device 🙂

I thought the Gemini was expensive until I realised that the Psion 5mx was £400 back in 1999 and it didn't have anything like the same features that the Gemini has. Veeeerrrrrry tempting!
