Pranayama - Types of Breathing

- It is one of the yogic secrets and it is extremely effective in calming you down instantly. Before we do vase breathing, we have to prepare our stomach and our body. We first begin with Om chanting so that the subtle energies of the body get aligned. If some pages are scattered or the playing cards are scattered, it is a different feel but when you align them all and put them in a neat deck, it gives a different feel altogether. So chanting of Om aligns your energies that were scattered into one neat deck.
There are mainly fourteen types of pranayama. Out of which, anulom and vilom (ascending and descending pranayama) is one type. Pranayama has three aspects. The first aspect is Puraka, Puraka is when you inhale, you take the breath inside your body.

But while i am doing anulom vilom in the black lotus app right now and the pace with the intermittent instructions forces me to hold my breath for so long.

1. kapalabhati
2. anulom vilom
3. simha kriya
4. agni sara
5. nadi shuddhi
6. bhramari pranayama.
am starting kevala kumbhaka and ujjayi panayama.
in what sequence should i include the above two pranayamas.

Tumo is Buddhist/tantric paractise. That would require altogether different initiation.

Possibly, Swami ji is able to see it because He has done an immense amount of sadhana. That's 'how' He sees it. Why our energy changes, that I don't know, sorry.

Namaste swamiji. I have not understood how air from nose can go to stomach? Windpipe is only connected to lungs so how will air go to stomach? Please can anyone explain?
Himanshu Agarwal Sir, I don't know about the windpipe or other inside things but as you will practice u'll feel the difference between when air is going into the lungs and when it's going into the stomach

Yes, it is not the stomach or belly, but the air is taken to lower part of lungs, instead of breathing from upper part of the lungs like most people do, this lower lungs breathing clears up the lungs of CO2, hence more oxygen is absorbed through the lungs.
