- here is how you can find and turn on the offroad screen on your silverado and the transmmission temperature screen. Dont quote me on this but i think this feature is available on 14-17 models, and the offroad screen might only be available on the 4WD models only? If you know different please let me know in the comments.

Hey thanks for video...my Trans Temp screen disappeared one day and a Blank one came up...I thought something broke, your video helped me! I have a 2014 Z71 4x4 bought new in 2013 and it doesn't have the Off Road setting.
I have a 2014 Z71 LTZ. Doesn’t have the off-road page. Is there a way to add the screen or update the system to have it? Please make a video if so.
Very helpful video! I couldn't find the trans temp on my 2016 2500HD but thanks to this video now I have it.
Bought my new 2018 and wanted Trans temp on the DIC...dealer could not tell me over the phone but you video showed me to the T.....Thanks you Tye

This was really helpful, my 11 got hit by a guy crossing the centerline still salty my old truck is totaled. But just got a 16 and was wondering where I could find my trans temp if my 11 had it I figured a 16 should.

I have the 2014 1500 LT z71 offroad and it doesn't have it.

My 2014 gmc sierra 4x4 doesnt show the off road screen :( keep up the good content nice work.

It's not only the Z71 edition, my truck is a (LT), and I have the functions on my DIC screen, thanks to (FixltNick) I was able to retrieve and activate those functions, as long as you enter a check mark next to the un-checked options, it will activate when you go through the menu on your (DIC) screen, I will upload a video showing these functions in operation, as my vehicle is only (2) wheel drive, Lt version All star edition if that makes a difference. Search (Chevy Silverado DIC screen options 2015) to view the video..

I had this screen working a while ago. Now I can still get to the screen, but it doesn’t tell me the angles.

FixItNick I'm literally checking now. The last one before blank page on mine is trans fluid where yours is off-road. Is there anything else I need to do to get that menu?
Desmond Perry that’s interesting, if followed what I was doing and still not there then maybe it’s not there, maybe ask dealer or google for Colorado, but should be same as Silverado I thought
FixItNick I think because the colorado has the ZR2, they made it exclusive where as the silverado, the Z71 is the most offroad trim.

I have a 2017 Silverado z71 quick question does your engine temperature fluctuates when you get on it like it goes over the 210 mark? mine does it only has 2500 miles dealer claims its normal looking for answers

My 2018 Silverado Z71 does the same thing I always wondered if it was just mine !!
only on the freeway if you floor it It goes to almost 220 then goes back to normal then after that it just fluctuates
I had mine go that high once and it cooked trans had to have fluid flushed for the trans to shift right again. I grandma the truck now and she sits happily at 180-190 sometimes going up to 200
190 is a tad hot for that transmission...do you have a cooler?
no 190 is normal for these, no cooler

@@edwinecheverria3238 I stand corrected on that temp. My truck never ran that high even when towing a trailer. Most times I run around 150/165 range. however that being said I found this on the Chevy website. I did run towing coolers also.
Ideally, the fluid temperature in the automatic transmission would range from 170 to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. If the transmission is slipping or you are pushing the vehicle hard, the temperature could rise above 240 degrees. However, with every 20-degree drop, your transmission remains better protected.
I have a 2016 z71 with 22s and 33" tires and get like 12 mpg average lol is that even normal ? Truck has 54300 miles. Also I heard a pretty loud tap in front of the truck when slowing down and getting back on it to make a turn was slowing down to see if I could make the gap in between oncoming traffic the when I new I had it got on it like a qrtr throttle and heard a tap in the front of truck I think I caught it between shifts and it was the transfer case . Anyway pls tell me if you have experienced this and if I need to worry !
Yea MPGs suck on these lifted. That’s why I sold my truck I want a diesel lol

Good video, but not true for the (2) wheel drive version, I have the two wheel drive 1500, Silverado crew cab, and this option is available in my truck, (5,3 liter v8) LT. the display shows up just like your video display and it is operational. Chevy covered all ends of their product, that's why I prefer Chevy over Ford, this feature in an (F-150) would have been at an additional cost, that I am not willing to pay for, but you get it free of charge from Chevy!!! Way to go GMC!!

Good question, but I don't think you can change that.
I think only the 4x4 have the off road screen. On a good note my 5.3 sips gas
Do you have the Trans temp screen?
FixItNick yes I do, I have all of the settings except for the off road settings. My temps are typically from 186 to 190 constantly.
