I am guessing that the auto return does not engage early enough and it requires the tonearm/stylus to go too far into the center of the record. I have Realistic Lab-420, a full auto turntable. It has the similar opening at the base of the tonearm with a screw at the bottom with which you can adjust the cue-in and cue-out of the tone arm. However there are two screws hidden underneath the hole. One you see when the tonearm is at the arm rest which is for the cue-in. Another you see when the tone arm is close to the center of the platter which controls when/where the cue-out engages. Turning the screw clockwise or counter-clockwise changes where the needle drops or returns. It may have the same mechanism.
Can you explain to me more about the issue with the Dual? I have a Dual CS 515 and the arm returns too soon. It will only play half of a 45 before it stops and returns. What causes that and how can you fix it?
Erm, what a confusing video! :) I didn't fully catch the first explanaition about the dropping in correct spot! Did you fix it ? Can you show us? And for the rest of the video, I'm also very confused! All that confusion!
@@ibrahimklc7561 do what!? You said “without a stylus on the shell”; you do realize a cartridge is what attaches to the headshell? Not sure you are qualified to leave comments…
@@kappandrew1 Thank you for your kind reply. Let's be more precise. I mean "a stylus attached to the cartridge" and I mean how do you determine the exact return position without the "tip of the stylus" touching the disc? I think it must be tip that actually determines the exact return position.
Would you by chance know where I could source a replacement motor for a Pioneer pl/15D-2 Turntable ? The outer copper windings are totally burned up and the spindle with the magnet inside the motor will not spin on its own. 😒
Honestly, find a trashed one on ebay and buy it... you'll likely get a cartridge in the process. Often I find the individual parts are more expensive than just buying a parts unit. Ebay baby!

Has the popemstimple been replaced? That’s probably spelled wrong… but it’s the grip thing for the stem movement.

I’d recommend taking it to a pro. These are fairly complicated.

She’s sold… maybe watch the video on a large screen?
There is no use trying to demonstrate this process without a stylus on the shell .
