Bought another 98 gt parts car put it back together in to weeks brand new 5peed trans, the motor was in good shape, brand new upper intake ,spark plug wires ,coil pack , clutch resurfaced flywheel alternator. It still needs a lot of work paint and inside but it runs again. Sorry I’m a mustang y’all didn’t have to read this but glad you did. Best of luck to the mustang cowboys.

Like it or not, the 4.6 2v is probably the reason this thing hasn't blown up yet and is sitting a junkyard. I've heard people knock this motor, but I know guys with cars that started as police cars, then turned into taxies, then sold back to the civilian market with over 600k miles on them. Also there are videos and documentation of 4.6 2vs with over 1 million miles on them. Show me one 5.0, 4.6 3v or any Mustang motor period that can take a beating like this. I personally drive a 2011 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor SAP with 102k miles and 600 idle hours. It has 250 hp stock and about 280 hp with the upgrades I've done to it. I've seen 120mph many times and the car handles the speed. It's not a drag car. It's meant for high speed, and it's probably the most reliable car ever made in the US period. Praise God you have Mustang with this motor.

My 94 has functional scoops. I don’t know why they decided to block them off. Looks like they mostly cooled the tires rather than brakes though. Some people have swapped center consoles to 98+ because instead of an ashtray, it’s an additional two cup holders. The single din slot under your head unit thigh was designed for the factory CD player, with the tape deck being in the top. Without it, I added an additional two cup holders with the DIN out of a Taurus SHO, but other cars had them to. Go to a salvage yard with a toolbox and look for Toyota Siennas, they have a super sturdy cup holder you can unscrew and screw in right under your glovebox on the left side. Works like a charm and actually holds large drinks lmaooo
I have a 1998 Mustang GT and it's pretty similar to yours, but it has two cupholders where yours has an ash tray. You'd think this is a positive, but those damn cupholders are so useless because the front one is too close to the shift knob and any cup you put in there will literally block you from being able to shift into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. The cupholder right behind that one is so shallow that it straight up can't hold anything at all.
I had the same complaints about mine besides the convertible. You can get an ashtray to cup holder conversion kit (have Ong a manual it doesn’t really have too much convenience bc when towing through gears you hit the cup with your hand 😂
My grandfather has a slightly old 2000s mustang, I think from 2002-2004ish coupe with a v8 and honestly it’s like half way taken apart and been sitting in a garage ever since I was a little kid (like 10 years) idk what to do with it but I think he said if I fix it I would be able to drive it, is it worth it or nah.
Mines an 03, and I gotta agree with the wind noise, it’s wild dude, my 4.6 makes a decent amount of power, but mainly because I’ve added some stuff to it
94-97 the hood and side scoops are functional. Yes it is a minimal air effect but they are functional unlike the second portion of sn95 new edge which carry over faux scoops😊
Never been a fan of the 4.6. The 3.8s are so restricted by the intake and exhaust that with just a decent true dual exhaust, some bolt ons and a tune you can get the same power if not more than a stock 4.6 and you have way more room in the engine bay to work. Not to mention they'll comfortable run a single turbo at 6lb and put well over 300rwhp with no internal engine mods and all of the upgraded suspension parts and the 8.8 lsd rear end are direct bolt on swaps from GTs. 3.8 SN95s are extremely underrated imo

03 Silverado- the fact that some things in the interior are just so fragile don’t get me wrong for a 20 year old truck it runs amazing but them damn window switches break way too easily not to mention the other stuff switches, center console, glove box, door handles, plastics, so much stuff I can’t even name
The paint is cracked on my 1988 corvette convertible
Number 4 is something the 2g eclipse has in common with this car
I have an 06 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Only thing I hate about it is it’s in the shop til further notice.
I've got an '02 explorer with the 2 valve 4.6 V8 and I can confirm it's not a powerhouse, but it is very fun.
That 4.6liter 2 valve V8 is one of the most reliable engines ever made.
Those sn95's are solid, fun to slide around in
I had a 02’ vert gt years ago when I was in the Marines. It was rattly as hell with the top up and all it had was flows and a k&n intake, but I still miss it daily.
Just drill the holes in the vents and make them functional. My dad and i made an intake under my front bumper for my firebird because they don't get much air to the motor. So my dad being and old hot rodder, helped me make and bolt up an intake under the car
the “ash tray” is a slot to put in the cupholder i have one in mine 😂
My 8th gen civic with the bumper corners always popping out 😂
My battery is under two layers of cowl and you have to remove both, plus the wipers, plus unscrew the brake reservoir to get access. And you have to re-index the wipers afterwards, which is a pain.
crazy that im boutta buy one of these
How much
@@badbikos2266 buying one this weekend for 9500. But it has brand new interior, fresh paint job, 2500$ airlift set up, 93 octane tuned, stop tech brakes, 3 piece weds, subframe connectors, exhaust mid pipe tb, Saleen spoiler, and a few more things done to it. Fresh af
sheeshhhh that’s a great ass deal
Found one for 2,800 just need tires and paint job
i legit never used my cup holder in the center cubby to the point where i forgot it was even there until you just showed me that (i also haven’t driven the car in over a year😂)
Go to a salvage yard with a toolbox and look for Toyota Siennas, they have a super sturdy cup holder you can unscrew and screw in right under your glovebox on the left side.
He high or smthn? Love the energy keep up the good work.
I fw the channel bro content is fire nd u repping for the young brothas…
preciate it bro ✊🏾
I had the same complaints about mine besides the convertible. You can get an ashtray to cup holder conversion kit (have Ong a manual it doesn’t really have too much convenience bc when towing through gears you hit the cup with your hand 😂
My grandfather has a slightly old 2000s mustang, I think from 2002-2004ish coupe with a v8 and honestly it’s like half way taken apart and been sitting in a garage ever since I was a little kid (like 10 years) idk what to do with it but I think he said if I fix it I would be able to drive it, is it worth it or nah.
Start watch RUclips videos and get a service manual for the car. There are plenty of forums and subreddits that have helpful information too
Buddy is your spine made of jelly?
One cup holder bc they know mustang owners don’t have friends
Mines an 03, and I gotta agree with the wind noise, it’s wild dude, my 4.6 makes a decent amount of power, but mainly because I’ve added some stuff to it
ashtray hard asf tho🤷♂️🙏😂 had one in my 07 benz . thas what i love abt old cars✅
94-97 the hood and side scoops are functional. Yes it is a minimal air effect but they are functional unlike the second portion of sn95 new edge which carry over faux scoops😊
I solved the cup holder problem by going to a junk yard and grabbed a center console from a 02
I love my 03 has a v6 still runs great and crazy burnouts almost everyday with no issues.
I have the 02 sn95 with just a v6 but this vid makes me feel better about the hardtop and cupholders
I have no cup holders at all you don’t kno how hard having no cup holders is until u don’t have em 😭💯💯
I have a 1989 chevy silverado ss and the only thing i dont like about it is that when you change the spark plugs the threads are so old you have yo get it in there perfectly
That I didn’t take care of me rag top. 😂
Glad I had beamers , Hondas and Acura’s as my first cars haha I got a 17’ mustang gt pp1 now , about the same amount of space inside
One of the ten things i dont like is the thought of squatting on my hood with foam shoes
Still fun as hell tho 😂
Amen brother
