Its the fact you dont get any breaks or any seperate games/chapters in order to get to the end without saving. The devs probably wanted to show how much they put into the game and put in a little too much. Think of the mimic, its long but it has 30-50 minute chapters in between for you to play, not just one long entire game that you cant save.
There are actually different busses you can get on that take you to different chapters, in case you can't get through it all in one go. One bus takes you to the start, one takes you to the subway, and one takes you to the destroyed hotel/dungeon :)

The devs could cut down on fetch quests, or make them faster and easier, then make maybe one candle or something per color, then just give the player a hammer to break the pillars themselves

For me and my friends, the game glitched and we were stuck at the candle part because the third yellow candle disappeared from my inventory. At first we just thought that someone else picked up the same candle I did so it disappeared, but we went back to all three spawning locations and couldn't find it spawning anymore. It took us searching around the map for 1 hour straight before realizing the problem. 💀

Played this game with friends and it first it was great but then it just dragged on and on, basically losing all of its scare factor and it didn't help they reused that same oni mask monster a bunch.

I literally played this horror game with my friend yesterday and we ended up quiting at the candle finding part bc of how long the game is XD (don't misunderstood we still had a decent amount of fun)
I honestly started this game late at night expected to finish it up in around a couple minutes and then I could sleep, safe to say I didn't get much sleep since I didn't want to just leave half way through... yeah me and my friends literally played this yesterday and it was really good, at least the first 2 parts but one of them died in the second part and we really didnt want to restart the game so we just left
We actually speed ran through in 1 hour and was at the final fight but we all died due to the lack of chocolate bars since we didnt collect them. It wasn't scary at all and we did it with 3 people including me.

i played this game it was pretty good it was enjoyable to play and the only problem was that it felt too long but i think its because there are around 5 parts and instead of going back to the lobby you just go straight into the next part it even had a cool story
