- Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker from 'Star War' received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. George Lucas, Harrison Ford and more were on hand to present Hamill with the honor. Mark thanked his fans and even ended his speech with his infamous joker laugh.

I still think it was a terrible mistake that we never got to see Hamill and Ford together on screen in the new trilogy. =/

It would have been more awesome and perhaps overshadow the "Chewy, we're home." scene.
Imagine if Carrie would have been there. I'm sure I'd be crying in laughter with her speech.

What a sweet man he is, he deserves this recognition so much, not only for his career but for the man he is, truly humble and full of love for everybody, it's so refreshing to see someone get to this age in showbusiness having not lost the sense of surprise and awe and the ability to believe in dreams. Long life to you Mark, thank you for filling our hearts

Oh, SNAP! ;-D That was great! I'm also very glad that we didn't have to see "Krazy" Kathleen Kennedy and "Ruin" Johnson have to pollute the scene, at least not in this film segment! Those two aren't worthy to even lick the bottoms of the shoes of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, George Lucas, OR even R2-D2; the right guys who truly mattered were there and I'm sure Carrie was there in spirit.

When Harrison steps on stage, watch Mark's face as he turns back to the camera. It's almost like watching a younger brother excited to see his older brother at a family reunion. Incredibly sweet moment for all fans of either person.

At first, I really, really wanted to see a pic with Mark, Harrison and Billie Lourd. Then when she finally came up to be photographed with him I realized he looked emotional about having her there. It's times like these I wish so much that Carrie had been able to make it just a few more years. I miss her dearly.

I was on vacation with my girlfriend and her family and her mom just suggested on a whim to go to Hollywood Boulevard. We got there and parked behind the El Capitan and saw a bunch of people lined up, and at first we didn’t know why. Then we saw people in Star Wars Shirts and I remembered seeing an article that said that Mark Hamill was supposed to be getting a star on the Walk of Fame. I didn’t know where or when it was gonna be, but for whatever reason, we got super lucky and were there to witness Mark get his star. Add in George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Rian Johnson, etc, and i was one happy Star Wars camper. Once in a lifetime experience to see all of those people together! (I’m sure for people living in Hollywood it’s more common but as someone who lives on the east coast it was very exciting)

One of the legit nicest guys in Hollywood. Congrats mark. I've been there with him since I first saw Star Wars as a wide eyed 10 year old in 1977. (Seeing him there with Harrison Ford really makes me wish I could have seen them together in the new movies.) Love it.

Mark is awesome. I'm glad he got this, he deserves it. He should've gotten it years ago, but better late than never. Harrison and George are awesome as well. I’m sure if Carrie was here, she’d be giving out one liners about Mark and how they worked together and just a lot of memories they’ve had. I’m glad to be able to view this in its entirety.

Well ya know killing Han Solo was something Ford wanted right? He's been advocating for the character's death since the production of Return of the Jedi.
Yeah I think Ford's expression was more like, "It's a shame he's not making stuff anymore - he is very talented". I think he's glad Solo was killed off like he wanted.

I feel so sorry for George Lucas. He seems like a broken man, so sad how he left the podium saying 'no no, I'm out of the game now.' He must be so grief stricken at how his baby, his creation was so subverted by the Disney empire.

I've always admired George for not flaunting his wealth with expensive clothes, but dressing like an average Joe. That guy is basically the richest filmmaker alive with billions to his name, and he always wears a simple shirt, beat up jeans and sneakers. Unless the event is entirely black tie formal, this is how he will dress.
