Nice packing job! The beer flight makes me thirsty, thanks for the videos.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Love the quality of your videos - thank you for putting so much work into this
Always a pleasure especially so when we get a nice comment like this.
Wayne, nice video again. It is difficult to keep up with the progress of the hike making the video. Great backpacking demo from Danielle. Good to see that you take time to relax. Did you have rainy days ? Always see you in shorts and sunshine..
Hey Walter. I'm behind on the video editing but I will catch up eventually! We have not had any rain on trail since the beginning. I expect it will come in the next few weeks as we head north through Oregon & into Washington.
Wayne I’m binge watching your thru hike and truly enjoying it. I’m starting my thru hike March 26th, 2019 and super excited. I curious as to what app you used for editing your videos? Thank you and I look forward to watching the rest of your hike.
Thanks Mike. I presume you got your permit sorted? Not long to go now...exciting!
I used Premiere Pro CC and After Effects for the titles/graphics. I'm looking Davinci Resolve though as its free. Premiere Pro is getting too expensive (even with the Teacher discount!).
Nice to hear from you Wayne, yes I chose March 26th so I can go a little slower early on like you did. Also got my entry into Canada all set as well as my fire permit. I can do 20 mile days but haven’t done many consecutively so going to start out doing around 15 a day. I’ve heard premier is awesome. How did you edit on trail though? On your phone or?
@@MarmaladeOutdoors I carried a Surface Pro with us the whole way which worked well for 1080 editing.
A nice slow start is great. We both felt the desert section was quite possibly our favourite region. Such a difference from the usual alpine stuff we normally hike in. Apart from a couple of long water carries we found it wasn't as bad as some scaremongering may lead you to believe. Enjoy the trail because it just keeps on giving!
Wayne, I live in San Diego and as you may be able to tell from my videos but I’ve hiked a ton of the desert and agree it’s amazingly beautiful. I email Darwin if you have seen his videos and he said the desert was his favorite part too.
@@MarmaladeOutdoors We watched a lot of Darwin's. I've subscribed to your channel so I can relive the hike from your eyes!
Again Danielle steals the show.
I cannot get jealous Willard!
