    You are so clever tying the fabric together! PVC Pipe clothing rack placement - genius! I love how you just do it and don’t quit!
    I am old enough to be your gramma so I can say “I am sooooooooo proud of you in so many ways but mostly your sobriety and that you took charge of your life and are learning so many great life lessons! Love to you, Sweetie!

    i really like the tie off idea, another option that would be FAR LESS time consuming would be to cut the edges down to about and inch to inch and a half and use the spray adhesive to mold the two fabrics together

    I love that iridescent fabric! Another way to get fabric for car curtains cheap is to use mainstays sheet sets. For my curtains I bought a $10 full size black sheet set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillowcases) and a $10 twin set of floral print sheet (1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, 1 pillow case). That way you can still use the fitted sheet and pillowcases for bedding and the flat sheets for the fabric.

    Those are really pretty. My daughter went through a gothic stage in her teens and demanded black sheets for her full size bed. She left the set, including two pillow cases, when she moved out, so I won't need to buy the fabric to copy your window covers.

    That was a good idea. By doing the window covering that way you saved a lot of steps. Good thinking,

    Sometimes it's not the store but the employee. Some times they just don't feel like cutting or doing whatever you need.

    I love watching these girl. I’ve gotta ask though, where do you park the van at night while you’re asleep?

    • @MyBasicJourney
      @MyBasicJourney  5 лет назад +2

      From the videos I've watched, if you're going to stay in a city the popular places are residential areas, walmarts, or industrial. You can even stay downtown if you're cool with the noise. Most meter parking is for allotted times (i.e. 7a.m. - 9p.m.) so you could park there 9pm-7am without any problems.
      There's also apps out there that tell you free places to park. (iOverlander) There's also tons of free or super cheap camping spots. Or rest areas.
      Basically, if there isn't a sign that says no parking, then you can park there. Lol (:

    Hey you also mite consider Lemo Tinting your windows and using reflectix to keep it a little more cooler in your Van and a little more hard to look into.
    And btw how do you spell your name?

    Girllll...where did u find reflectix??? I've been looking everywhere n can't find it n nobody even knows what I'm talking about!! My Walmart didn't have it neither did Home Depot!!! They looked at me like i was crazy when i tried explaining it when they never heard of it!! 🤦

    • @MyBasicJourney
      @MyBasicJourney  4 года назад +3

      I got mine at home depot. Ask them to direct you to the insulation. At mine, it was right next to the spray foam insulation. (:

      Thanx girl!! I did try that but i think they were just out cuz i just checked n another 1 has it so they were prob out. Thanx soooo much tho. This heat ugh.. I'm in PA n yest was mid 90's i actually made a DIY air conditioner yest n tried it out 2day n it's Amazing!!! Only issue i have is gotta keep either frozen bottles of water or ice in it n that'll b hard esp if I'm in the middle of nowhere!! I haven't had time or $ 2 do a vent fan in roof so hoping doing the windows will help! 👍☺
