I'm from Belfast, the first time I herd him he was 17 , that same voice. I was like WHATTTT. The thing about him, he does not like the limelight, he just loves singing. And that's a true artist.

Paolo is something special, and he is Scottish/Italian so never expect that voice from that genetics, but then again his voice is his, unique!

I live in Scotland and Paolo he stayed about a 20min drive from where I live, his mum and dad still have there chip shop and been there many times and there a lovely couple, as for Paolo I’ve loved since he first came out, he’s the most underrated singer/writer he should have every music award his voice ages like a fine wine and he’s sexy good looking guy love his vibe at his concerts he’s a down to earth guy xx

You can hear definite echoes of Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke in some of Paolo's work. No greater compliment.

@@johant23 Well, the first one that is credited for the song on Palo Nutini's Caustic Love album is Wrecia Holloway and then James McDougal because they wrote the song that was first released in 1965 with Bettye Lavette. Many have covered the song. Paolo made some changes in his version, so he is credited third. Here you can hear the original version
