They are lucky to buy a Mahindra company car in Australia 🇦🇺 at the price they are getting, because it is a matter of luck to get a reliable car with that amount of power and features at that price. And Mahendra cars are reliable enough. Car engines are reliable and reliable.
But I do say they are becoming impressive. At a price point. Being old school I don't mind the Scorpio due lack of electronic safety devices on board. I would accept the Scorpio and next family capable SUV. But people who like there gadgets will probably put there money to the big 3. At the end of the day the more electrical gadgets the more can go wrong. I still think that if you're looking for touring vehicle the less gadgets the better the last thing you need is one of those safety gadgets failing when you're in the middle of nowhere.
@4wheelsride I agree. That's why I chose my diesel 4x4. No computer controlled anything. Engine all cast iron, four wheel disk brakes, coil springs all round, 3,500kg tow capacity and 1100Klm highway range. Twenty-two years old, looks and runs like new. Residual value siting at 70%. Cheers

I would much prefer mahindra or a ssangyong musso since they have proven reliability the musso only had a vibration issue but that was solved in the new model
I don’t think Mahindra will offer front diff lockers. Maybe if enough people demand it, and it reaches mahindras ears, then definitely they will offer front diff lockers. But solely from mahindras point of view front diff lockers are not necessary, as its main competitors like hilux doesn’t have it either.
I have a Scorpio Z8, this vehicle is a really a Love/Hate relationship with me. Done 10,000 kilometres including towing a camper for 1500 km. The Apple CarPlay issue has been fixed in a update, ours was done 2 months ago. The safety features never was a consideration for me when purchasing, for a lot of Australians it isn’t as well. The steering, suspension, engine, gearbox all work brilliantly together, it is a very tight car, no rattles or bangs from suspension on rough roads, fuel economy when towing is great, just love driving it. But the things that would be so easy to fix, the interior packaging just sucks, the centre console looks big but you are lucky to fit a mobile phone in it, the single cup holder?? Door pockets that are useless, the inside door handles, when opening the only hand holder is close to the hinge, it’s easy for wind to grab hold of it or the door getting away from you in a tight car park, just a very bad design. The Stop/start feature just sucks, need to turn it off for safety reasons, it is laggy and can take a few seconds to restart and a few seconds is the difference between life and death. The third row seat takes up a huge amount of room, why did Mahindra not design it to fold into the floor like the XUV700 or even the older XUV500? We had a 2009 Subaru Forester before, the inside would be a very similar size but Subaru interior storage was superior, the way the rear seat folded flat and gave a huge flat space for moving bulky items, doors, very useful cabin storage, all this missing on the Mahindra Scorpio. I hope Mahindra really listen to all the complaints about the Scorpio and add some retrofit items to fix the above issues.

I didn't experience any of these problems you experienced with your scorpio n It might just be that mahindra mede a different version of the scorpio n for australia
Mate.. For the scorpio n auto start stop.. If it kicks in and the vehicle turns off, pushing the start stop switch will turn off the vehicle. Just take the foot off the brake and it'll start again.. It works in situations like you've reached your destination, you brake on D and it turns off.. You can then turn off the vehicle by pushing the Auto start stop button or take you foot off the brake pedal, start it and then turn off the vehicle on P
Sounds good except I expect more than a poor 400nm. If it is to compete as a towing vehicle which is my perspective it needs at least 500nm to interest me.

This model looks like a duplicate of the toyota hilux. Mahindras scorpio pikup has its own unique look. Come on Doston, who made this bewakhoof decision? Go back to the drawing board and include that iconic scorpio look, before it is too late. Indian companies are getting terrible advice from their body designers. Recently that design of Harley bike produced by Hero company is one typical example. All the lundays in India were waiting for a bike with a classic Harley cruiser look. But the bewakhoof made it look like a hero bike with a harley logo. Hero and Mahindra, take my advice. Decades down the line you will find that this is the best free advice ever.
If thats the drive train its a big disappointment. Anything new thats got less than 150kw 500nm is a joke. Why would they keep with the shit 6speed auto or the garbage Eaton auto locker that snaps rear axles because of the shock loads it creates. Why cant any off the manufacturers just build a decent ute for once. Stop competing with the garbage hilux specs.

no ..mahindras new designer are from TATA who makes many lengendary suv in india ..and Mahindras Mhawk Engine its was really i like who mahindra used from long time updated
This looked promising until the engine specifications were mentioned :(
Mahindra already has a 150kw engine for scorpio and xuv, they will definitely put it or it's enhanced version in this pick up too as it's gonna be their new flagship.
@@randombully3798 power and torque figures don't tell the story without the rpm curve. Without that information they're just numbers for marketing.
I want this in Canada by 2025
All these pickup vehicles look nearly the same, Toyota, Ford,Nissan ext
Old school shape on Mahindra still nice looking, similar to the old shape landcruisers
Loading area on these modern vehicles is unpractical and cause a lot of irritations, to high, always struggle to get things loaded and ofload
Best practical load bins is made by Australian conversions, walk around the loading area and you can reach everything
Price we paying these days for Tupperware vehicles is redicioulus
Only if mahindra gathers balls enough to put this ute in dakar rally then only it will dominate it in Australia and South Africa. Unless it aint global. And mahindra in known for being scared of motorsports
It is about time people learn to drive with out the bullshit
New safari launched
Mahindra must bring the servicing costs down. and establish more servicing departments around the suburbs. to go to Oodnadatta and brake down in your mahindra. is bad news.,, get it ???
Think I will stay with my Korean built Musso for a while longer.
Already bought by Mahindra😅
They stole the idea and design of Toyota Tacoma 😂😂
Design of Scorpio N.
❤❤❤❤❤
Didn’t this and the MG get the worst Ancap safety rating ever? Cheap but you will die in the event of an accident, hmm 🤔
GNCAP gave them 5 stars in collision test but ANCAP washed all those stars bcoz the car doesn't have computers to decide ur fate😂
@@mg9854 do you have a link? I didn’t see this myself.
@NAStheNomad mahindra scorpio n performed average in adult crash rating and performed very good in child crash rating, it got 0 stars due to lack of adas.
Mg though lacked adas and performed shit in both crash rating.
Though ancap Also lost the plot with the new criteria.
Whats a ute
Carversal international
Comparing with sheet
Indian over Chinese in any case for me...
I don’t think any of these dual cabs can safely tow 3000kg
If you don't think this car is not safe for you then don't buy it
You don’t think this car is not safe…
Is the same as saying - You do think it is safe 🤷
As Android user, I dont care for the Apple car bla bla
Why future generation design sucks 😂
Check out TATA SAFARI
This guy must have been paid for this fluff
I dont like the saftwy featers on the new cars thave cased me more hadaces and problems a simple vichel and no gismoes is what i like about the ute
Mahindra is not competitive in price compared with Chinese utes.
Not enough power to get anywhere 🤔
where do u wanna go ? Himalayan foothills?? it'll take u there.
Lmao I bet u aren't even gonna use half of that power!
