As a Photographer, my advice is to mimic the lighting as much as you can, you have to create and find the lighting, not just rely on the available ambient light and then fix it with app filters. You have to question where does the light come from? what's the source size? how far away is it from the subject? You can figure it out by the "catchlights" on peoples' eyes. Also, don't put your phone camera too close to your face because a wide angle lens always creates a distorted version of your face and body (to see examples google "lens compression portraits") You and Megan are equally beautiful (even if you don't believe it) the difference is that she has an army available of photography directors, makeup artists, stylists, hairdressers, light technicians, picture editors... Basically, her pictures and scenes are a total construction made by many people to make her look flawless. Her pictures and scenes might seem simple, but there's a lot of work behind them.
