I thought Natalie could no longer sing the old 10KM songs with her voice going deeper. This proves she still has it and is unwavering. Wish she would visit more 10KM songs. Thanks for posting.
On her tour of small UK venues last summer, I saw 4 of her gigs and she played this song, along with 'Dustbowl', 'Verdi Cries', 'Hey Jack Kerouac', 'Gold Rush Brides' and 'What's The Matter Here' (all 6 in one wonderful night at Buxton). On a hot July evening at Hebden Bridge, in a tiny packed club, she sang an awesome version of the traditional song 'Matty Groves'.
What a great rendition of this song-remember when she did this on Letterman circa '87, was she referring to guitarist Rob Buck who died in 2000 of liver disease?
Wonderful to hear her revisiting some of her great older songs; especially as she remembered the words, and didn't stop in mid-song to talk to the audience (as she often does these days)!
It's the 1st anv, of this show. As always Natalie sounds wonderful even with the crowd noise. Some people shouldn't be allowed out in public especially when someone else should be getting full attention.
I don't get it.... You have the privilege of being entertained by one of the most incredible artists of a generation and yet people sit and chatter through it. Is there no respect for the artist or other people around you anymore? I have been waiting over 25 years for the opportunity to be mesmerised by her on stage.. Count yourselves fortunate to have accessibility to live music like you do and treat every show like it's the last or the first
I can see why she wanted to leave the Maniacs. There’s no way she would that have total control of the band because she’s playing with a much better musicians. She’s still good though, but her best work was obviously with the Maniacs
@@briannixon4111 her only good album that's only because she's still has the fresh experienced in working with the best polished musicians. Then her true boring talent surfaced after her first album.
She is an intelligent, genuine artist with a truly great voice. One of the finest ever singer-songwriters. She has always defended the environment, stood up for the underdog and refused to sell out to the showbiz cretins. I wonder what legacy you will leave behind?
Love her, her natural hair and her not caring about the men commenting about her not being a skinny 20 something anymore.
One of the few singers that can give me goosebumps. Perfect.
She still sounds beautiful after all these years.

She's beautiful ❤️.Lord I'm horny for her.
But Natalie's solo work is so profound and there is only limited time to play so many songs.
Grateful she got a good applause at the end.
I have never seen her live either, praying hopefully one day I can as well 🙏🏿❤️
"Old School"?????? I say "Classic"! Selfishly, I want more!
She's very talented. And what voice!

I find that "innovation" by Natalie irritating (stopping a song half way through to talk to the audience)
Voz Divina.
I saw 10,000 Maniacs numerous times live in England in the 1980's , and I loved to see Natalie's charming " skip dance" around the stage.
the very best of all experiences!
Gahhhh love her soooo much
Natalie is always special.

It was a wonderful night and a wonderful summer swing of the West Coast!

Thanks for this. I saw her at Tanglewood & it was a great show but unfortunately she didn't sing this classic that night, so thanks!
But she sang it last night in Bethlehem NH!
happy birthday natalie merchant 🎂🎁🎉
Fair Play ta Ya
Really amazing. She still has a bit of her dance vibe ! Thanks for uploading !
I'm glad you appreciate it!

Couldn't agree with you more!
Yep I Get It
you get why they talking...or you get what I am saying?
Perfectly said.
Yes, the talkers have no clue of the history they’re witnessing. Forgive them their ignorance.
Thank you....thank you for this treat.
You are Welcome!
Agreed!
Alot more of Natalie to love, guess I haven't seen her in recent years
classy woman
She's aged like fine wine.if could spend one night with her.
Bummer the sound is out of sync with the video, but great none the less.
era un niño .
crei morir sin el amor de mi novio .
gracias a ti .
hoy puedo escribirte mi amor .
te amo Natalie
Somebody should give ver the gift of having 10KM on stage for a song or two.

Gasp!
Fire that guitarist! He can't get it together, and it's to the detriment of the performance.
i lost interest in her when she parted from 10,000 maniacs, that was a great band
And your point is?
Then what brings you here?
@@westcoastwally1992 10,000 Maniacs song, obviously.
Then you missed out. Her Tigerlilly l.p. was FANTASTIC, especially Carnival which features the incredible Katell Kenig on background vocals

She's putting on the weight.
As long as she doesn
@@catalinaumbert Pedro, her voice is exquisite.
@@BenRabinowitz-1 Absolutly. She is so underated.
She is in her mid fifties, so what is your point? As long as she stays fit and well, with a voice like that, who cares about appearances?
She sounds good but she’s washed up, a has been.
Is it because your Mom did something bad to you?
Did Daddy not love you? Kick Rocks D*ckweed.
Jesse Kennedy Honestly, that's a really idiotic comment.

You poor soul.
