2 years after the movie came out, my dad died from an air crash (he was the pilot), and seeing this movie now makes me kind of emotional. Flying a plane can be super dangerous and as we can see from this movie, even the trained pilots and actors can still die.
It's NOT just a regular movie for me, nostalgia aside, its also a reminder of my dad and childhood memories. The timing of this movie video is also funny. My dad died on 22 June, so kind of close.

Regarding the soundtrack of Street Fighter II and this movie:
The composer, Yoko Shimomura (also known for her work in various Mega Man and Nintendo games), was simply told to compose 8 or 12 (forgot the number of characters) pieces of music with vague ideas about what the team was going for. After they were composed, the developers picked themselves where to put the the music. Why they chose to put X in Y, I don't know. What I do know is that Shimomura was watching "Top Gun" the night before she compsoed Ken's Theme. She chalks it up the movie being on her mind.

Virtually everybody did You Lost That Loving Feeling because of the movie. It was hilarious
