I think you have managed to keep your home cosy and welcoming. It's not easy in a renovation, little comforts mean a lot. Really enjoying the catch ups and glad that you enjoyed your break away. ♥
Jus discovered your channel and what a find , realistic renovation, living , but yes I love your honesty of the fact you still have to be living in the mess and honestly your still doing it and living in pure raw cottage vibes 💕🏡
I love seeing your cottage, you get used to living in a bit of a pickle during renovations and it doesn't detract from how cosy it looks. I have booked our youngest daughter in for some sewing machine lessons when she's home at Easter, as, (deep breath) my name is Annie and I have a fabric problem 😊
Your cottage is just darling...I love the photograph of the elephants going down the street and am intrigued to see how your cupboard will look with the French Windows in the corner!
Thank you. We know from experience that we definitely pick up pace when the days are warmer and nights are lighter. We anticipate March to be a productive month.
Well done Louisa - lovely video. Know what you are going through - it is not easy living in a renovation site. Am with you on learning to make your own soft furnishing - that is on my list too. Lottie x
It's not easy at all living in a renovation but it is amazing how quickly you get used to it 😊 I have a ridiculous fear sewimg machines which I need to get over.
Despite your lovely home being an ongoing renovation site, it looks very tidy. I think once your en suite bathroom is completed it will allow for you to make a start on the bedroom. It is always necessary to prioritise the work.Thank you for sharing your updates, Sophie.
I like where the bench is and the couch. It is nice whn you place furniture away from the wall. I love those stairs. Can, t wait to see whn they done. The ensuite makes sense now. I think that the fun part start with the decor. Felicity Jacobs, Cape Town, South Africa
Thanks Felicity. I read something the other day which said, only wealthy people have sofas away from the wall 😂 This is not the case with us but it did make me chuckle.
It’s lovely to get an update on your renovation works. The best things take the longest time. It will look beautiful when finished with all the plans you have. I also really enjoy seeing what you do in the garden too. Look forward to the changes in March. Xx
You have a fantastic attitude Lovely Louisa! 😀 Living amongst the renovation and mess is not easy. I've been there many years ago when my children were just little..sigh. sometimes we only had one working toilet. Hold the vision.😍 Get outside regularly. Treat yourself to flowers and good coffee💐 Thanks for sharing your progress, such a beautiful channel. Love your style and taste! ❤️
Beautiful house now and when completed I imagine. I love your way of thinking. Large wooden table and chairs adorabke. I have an open fire and looking forward to not having it on in summer. Much more dust now but thats easy cleaned. Keep up the good work.
I Love rustic. I love the mustard colors. Those fireplaces are totally gorgeous. Of course kitchen wonderful. I have antiques, called primitives here in the states. So to me your house is a dream. It takes time to redo a home. I so enjoy watching
I dont doubt that you run out of puff in the winter months!! Its important to walk away and have a break from time to time. I'm a gardener, and I find it so difficult to get motivated in Jan and Feb 😂 What a great solution the track lighting is in your sitting room . Lovely video again. Jusy need it to stop raining!!!
It's the same every year, we don't achieve much in December, January, February. I think it's a good way for us to restore our energy. I also appreciate the thinking time. Let's hope March is a dry and sunny month.
Absolutely loving your channel and excited to see the changes next month. The flowers you had in the house are so pretty but I don't recognise them, would love to grow them on our allotment xx
It's a joy to discover your channel. Have been down the DIY renovation route with more to do. Like how you have been able to stylishly keep the elegant knackered look as well. Love your approach and antique excursions. Just recently purchase some lovely antique green and white china. plus lots of indian tree china as it was only £6 for the lot. As it was a charity shop did make a donation as well.
What ever happened to the plumber? Do the English use mulch on your garden beds. Mulch will keep the weeds down and will dress your garden beds. Americans use mulch or pine straw yearly.
The plumbers are missing in action. I am sure they will turn up eventually. Yes, I need to mulch in future, I am a novice, time-poor gardener so things might not always be done the correct way.
I see the photo in a very different way. It's part of history & something we wouldn't expect (or want) to see today.. Just in one photo, there is a whole story - why were the animals there? Why are the children running down the street? What is the man on the horse saying and Why is the boy at the front looking at the man?Why are there no adults with the children? Who took the photo? What does this street look like now? The look of amazement of the children's faces is a joy to see. We actually went and stood in the spot where the photo was taken and the street has hardly changed. I love photography and a photo can tell us so much.
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle we see different sides to the story and the sight of an elephant in such an entirely different place to it's natural environment makes me very sad!

The ensuite bathroom and bedroom transformation is going to be a game changer here at Starre Corner.
What a great idea the track lights are.
They work really well 😁
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle Yes they're a fab idea, I love how they're recessed too - can I ask where you purchased them from?
I can't remember. It was a shop fitting company online.

I love your wonderful cottage !!
Thank you! 😊
Will you cork insulate in the kitchen?
No, not in the kitchen because all the insulation went inside the double wall cavity when we built it last year.
Will you ever have solar panels?
Yes, we aim to have solar panels on the back of the new extension
Enjoyed your video. I think you would like to know that your sound quality is not great
Thank you for the feedback. I'm not entirely sure what you mean though?

Love the choices you have made so far! Most important, in the end is that you are pleased with the finished rooms and can start to use them. ❤

@@SandiD1959 I understand that but it was a hundred years ago & part of history. Thankfully history helps us reflect and improve our future.
