    To all the having doubt that why 0.618 is taken instead of 1.618 :
    It is because in the beginning of the vedios while sir was explaining the equation has 1/golden ratio (r)
    1/1.618 = 0.618

    Great teaching but I wonder if it really has any sense in real world?

      In engineering science,nothing can move without optimization! Any problem can be converted in to constrained or unconstrained objective function of n variables and solved by numerical methods.
      May I bring your attention to how " Nature" & "Optimization" are related?
      Think of " 🌻 Sunflower seeds or Sea 🐚 shell. Fibonacci numbers can explain how these are evolved.
      Excellent presentation Dr Garg

    Sir u used 0.618 as golden. Section ratio in the questions is this correct or we should use 1.618

    Hello Sir,
    At 19:45, can you please share how did you compute the value of f(x*)=0.19430?
    And how did you compute the values for Emin?
    Thank you

      I think this is wrong i mean value of x* is correct but f(x*) should be -0.5623

    All your lectures are very much useful for us sir.Thank you for your support sir.
    I have one doubt sir, will you please share if there is a link for solving (arithmetic and geometric mean inequality), and (primal dual relationship & sufficiency conditions in the unconstrained case).

    f(x^*) in all cases is calculated wrong. Do your own calculations. x^* in 3rd ques is also calculated wrong. Rest the lecture is explained nicely!! Thanks Sir.

    at 6.56 minute of video how the this step obtained
    Ik/I k+1 = Ik+1/IK+2 =c ( Constant) for all k could you please explain this?

    • @priyanshugupta4328
      @priyanshugupta4328 7 месяцев назад

      there is no equal to sign , between Ik/I k+1 = Ik+1/IK+2 , it's multiplication in which I k +1 can be canceled further and eqn remains same.

    Respected sir, what is the difference between Fibonacci method and Golden section method by using table calculation.

    • @DrHarishGarg
      @DrHarishGarg  2 года назад +1

      Dear... It is already mentioned in the lecture as well in the lecture of Fibonacci search method lecture.... See the number 0.3..is constant for Golden section however it is varied in Fibonacci
