To all the having doubt that why 0.618 is taken instead of 1.618 : It is because in the beginning of the vedios while sir was explaining the equation has 1/golden ratio (r) 1/1.618 = 0.618
In engineering science, nothing can move without optimization! Any problem can be converted in to constrained or unconstrained objective function of n variables and solved by numerical methods. May I bring your attention to how " Nature" & "Optimization" are related? Think of " 🌻 Sunflower seeds or Sea 🐚 shell. Fibonacci numbers can explain how these are evolved. Excellent presentation Dr Garg
All your lectures are very much useful for us sir.Thank you for your support sir. I have one doubt sir, will you please share if there is a link for solving (arithmetic and geometric mean inequality), and (primal dual relationship & sufficiency conditions in the unconstrained case).
f(x^*) in all cases is calculated wrong. Do your own calculations. x^* in 3rd ques is also calculated wrong. Rest the lecture is explained nicely!! Thanks Sir.
Dear... It is already mentioned in the lecture as well in the lecture of Fibonacci search method lecture.... See the number 0.3..is constant for Golden section however it is varied in Fibonacci

Great teaching but I wonder if it really has any sense in real world?
It is applicable bro in life

That was so helpful! I just started using soft and was so overwheld!
Sir u used 0.618 as golden. Section ratio in the questions is this correct or we should use 1.618
Great sir, best way to express
Thanks for the appreciation
thanks Sir... can you please add Binary Search type for the Line search algorithm... if already covered can you please share the link
Hello Sir,
At 19:45, can you please share how did you compute the value of f(x*)=0.19430?
And how did you compute the values for Emin?
Thank you
I think this is wrong i mean value of x* is correct but f(x*) should be -0.5623
x* calculation error at the end it should be 0.28 at 15:24
I think it should be 0.58

Thank you ❤
you are a hero
Kamal Hai sir keep going
Thanks for liking.... Watch their matlab code video too And other lectures
Thank you so much sir
Thank you for the clear explanation sir
what we use0.618 or 1.618
Sir, is this method also called BROYDEN FLETCHER ?
If not can you drop the link please?
No....."BROYDEN FLETCHER" method is different from this Golden Section Search
@@DrHarishGarg ok sir
Where is the video for MatLab code for Golden Section Search, I cannot find it
Will upload soon.
If n is not given in the question then??
thankyou sir
great sir....😇😇
Thanks. .. My pleasure.
at 6.56 minute of video how the this step obtained
Ik/I k+1 = Ik+1/IK+2 =c ( Constant) for all k could you please explain this?
there is no equal to sign , between Ik/I k+1 = Ik+1/IK+2 , it's multiplication in which I k +1 can be canceled further and eqn remains same.
Respected sir, what is the difference between Fibonacci method and Golden section method by using table calculation.

Thank you sir
Simplify your teaching.
1st example last calculation goes wrong sir
Also last exampl's calculation goes wrong
so quick, please take rest
ahut confusing pda ra h
Very long calculation
