Mabe wall off the whole main island with wooden walls, and then have the vikings land on the small island in the south. You could make there a stone fort, so you can mow the vikings down while they D-day. It would be pretty cool right?
Solid idea, maybe not the entire island. But an omaha island would be fun
They'll just use their catapults and then land
So my thought process was, that if we wall off the main island, the vikings AI would path find to the small island in the south, then Baron would fortify the island, to kill them more efficiently. Because the vikings never really tried to land on a land protected by a wall. They always looked for empty spot.

You should try to invade the kingdom your at war with right after the Vikings attack them so there weak and if they have any resources put up some quarry’s but if they don’t just demolish everything they have for more resources

If you build a great hall, the next time the AI sends a diplomat, you get an extra option other than "Yes, go on.." and "Perhaps later, I must go."
The option is "Yes, but first, a feat at our great hall? or something like that. It increases the AIs opinion on you. IF they like the choice of food you made, their opinion of you increases.
If they say something like "I dont really like this" or something, nothing will happen, or there will be a decrease.
it also upgrades your keep to the max level.

Suggestion:
Maybe make wooden walls completely encircling the outside edge of your island,
then make 1-2 inlets to draw in vikings, and just coat the walls near the inlets with archer towers and
ballistas, then you can 2 have strong points where the AI attacks instead of reinforcing the entire wall?
Incase you are confused about it
Instead of defending all sides, make heavily defended points where the AI wants to attack instead of
the entirety of your kingdom, you could also make a single entrance with no gates but it's a very long
maze-like corridor with Towers ontop so they can be taken down but they will target there because the AI
doesn't consider towers, just if they need to attack a gate to entry or not.

If your gonna attack another kingdom, try to attack their castle as fast as possible. Because as soon as it gets destroyed their kingdom will be yours. Including: people, recourses and defensen.
if you put 2 castle stairs next to eachother you can put a catapult on your walls

Baron, you can send a diplomat to an enemy kingdom and request an alliance as well as ask for some of their people to join your kingdom, If you have an alliance with the faction, you can ask them to declare war on your enemies, I found this overpowered as your ally will just throw troops at the enemy and save you the effort. Just a word of advice.
If the allie destroys the keep, whos getting the kingdom?

Build a new walled off area in the south and put more people there so you can have more defenses on other parts of the kingdom
When baron was acting was at the beginning about some bad news about the series I was worried he was ending the series.
yeah, since no stone and running low on resources isnt really gonna be good for a big kingdom
When your at war you can ask your allies to join and they will occasionally send raiders at your foe
I actually think having at least one fishing boat right now could be useful.
Especially as there are limited resources, though your fish population is going crazy and spreading from no fishing, you could sell some to the merchant or trade with other kingdoms. Which could help with diplomacy.
I wonder if you can build on allied territories to help them out with defenses and such, even if you still have to manage it yourself
You can destroy and rebuild gates and before they are built the enemy’s can’t get through it
I would like if kingdoms and castles modernized where after a certain number years you could get new technology like rifles and cannons and warship’s
If you get a diplomat at a queen if you are allies, you can force them to attack the king with anger issues : sun tzu, the art of making someone else do the work for you
Love your content Baron please continue to make amazing content and also make sure you bakers are close to you manors so they don’t have to walk far and it keeps your happiness at a more efficient way
I like this series and keep it going and for that peas of land use it for you food and wood that way you have more space to make more army training camper

My Lord Baron, King of Castleburg and First Lord of Toast, I Beseech thee to build a Simple but Dedicated Shipbuilding Area so that there may be an Area for your People to Build the Ships for your Navy! It will need to be in the Harbor Area, Possibly opposite of the Docks so that the Merchant Ships won't get Stuck inside or something. It will be protected by a Ballista Tower that is 3 Walls Tall on a Pier. Next to that will be a Boardwalk, and then the Open Water with a Moat behind that, then another Boardwalk to finish things off. The Boardwalks are for the Shipbuilders while the Water and the Moat act as the Slipway/Building Area for the Ships.
With Regards to our Finalized Alliance's with Queen's Leyson and Witmeyer, I Recommend a Garrison of 6 Archers, 4 Swordsman, 6 Cavalry and 4 Catapults each. These Forces will inevitably be Tasked with Landing on King Halsbeck's Land to the North now that his Forces has been utterly Depleted and Destroyed. For Our own Defence against Viking Invasions, I Recommend that we form Three Armies, a Northern Army over by our Special Equipment Factory, A Southern Army to Protect our Upcoming Project there, and a Home Guard to protect the Capital with all it's Farms, Trade and our own Homes should the Vikings get through. Our Troops will thus Take First Priority for the Defense of The Kingdom of Castleburg. The Formation and overall size of these Armies will be entirely at your own Discretion of course, but make no mistake Your Lordship, The Vikings will continue to Invade us and we must be Ready to Encounter them wherever they may be!

Hey baron , a scout ship counts as troops I think , so just put one near their islands and it is technically military aid without losing any of your own proper army
Just our Lord Baron barricading the whole island .
SUGGESTION: Where the vikings keep getting around the wall in the river, build a sea gate and build some piers with it for walls and connect it to the new fort. It would keep them from getting in so easily.

Hey baron when i play kingdoms and castles I have way more gold then you have and baron just one tip to get more gold in the early rounds are to go into the job priorities and put archers at the top and turn them off when ever vikings or dragons are not attacking. This way you don't have to spend gold on up keep and you can spend gold on more important things or just save up.
So much land mass, you could put more farms or woodcutters there. Maybe not so close unless you have a well, that can protect that large area. Increase population, I heard there was a "calvery" before... More towers needed on walls, especially ballistas.
Hmm, more resources and population of course. Even ballistas and archer towers, maybe small moats. Don't connect or else more trade path. Don't know about calv, but maybe it can kill the vikings more quicker if this game has that logic. Like ground kills ground units, trolls to defensive buildings, dragon to ground units, etc...
@@sabethwimow825 Basically like saying which units are more effective on one another. You could wall off thy kingdom and focus a one landing point zone full of defensive towers. Making each raid a bit if not, drastic change in the upcoming raids, sir.

@@sabethwimow825 Though it'll be more videos for Baron to do. Like population to increase troops, farm and wood cutters for resources. With such an abundance of land mass, will take too long. Walling off the kingdom would be faster, yet ineffective as there is not enough manpower to protect such huge land!
Baron i have an idea about a big project. That little island in your kingdom might be the best area for a military base and shipyard

Watched all ur kingdoms and castles videos they very entertaining to me atlases.
A good idea would be to get some stone by destroying your stone walls, wood can be created infinitly, and because you have a lot of forests, you should be able to make a lot of wood walls 3 stories high.

So for defenses, i'm thinking you could wall off the main island and make stone bastions on the southern island and try to funnel the vikings down to the south, then mow them down.
if there is malle troops you could get them to slow down the vikings well archers shoot
Make sure you put the archers onto the walls so they have a higher vantage point - Sun Tzu the art of pointy sticks

You can click on your recourses to see how much you make and use a year and you should also maybe increase the height of your walls so they have more hit points
One suggestion is to build a firefighter building which will more effectively put out fires.
I would suggest to get regular knight/foot soldier units besides archer squads. Those might help in conjunction with archers to help hold vikings in place
im thinking of what you can do with the extra land is mostly City and the Mid North a mini fort for troops
Maybe you could make a couple more forts in the North and South to target the passing Viking ships.

With the new fort, you could put a wall of archers to shoot down the ships so your allies don't have to deal with them.

To live through a Viking mass Invasion one must become a Viking- SunTzu The Art of Treason
(for the island with the wall of wood) Maybe in that island you can train a lot of soldiers or archers and build archers tower and ballista tower
cool invasion plan (very bad for PR), ally a nation and station a crap ton of troops directly around their castle, and when the time is right break the alliance and declare war. the castle should fall quickly with minimal losses.

if you use you demolition button by your build bar and click a moat that was built it will destroy

There is no abandoned Island in the world unfortunately
you could make the big island on the south a farm land why you might ask because the farm in ur main city is taking lots of spot and big dragons like to burn things there.
In the south make a large training ground and a planed city not just random manor's and use those troops to invade the north and defend Vikings.
Keep that island a forest area so u have infinite wood

He says that he has never built the hall of diplomacy, but I clearly remember from a past episode from the series prior to this one, he built the Hall
You can make other kingdoms "die" if you destroy there keep.

Use the statue to lure the dragons to it, then just stick some balistas and archers around the statue and you have dragon meat for days
Maybe create a massive neighborhood in the new southern area of your island.
I think the game needs some sort of mineshaft type thing to help with the inevitable issue of running out of stone

You could make an emergency rations so if you're in a pickle you could divert the recourses to the problem to save yourself from the crisis. (It has worked on me once)
