I don't understand how some Hmong parents dump their daughters on other people. Is it because they don't want to fork up their daughter's final expense? What if their daughter is married outside of the race? Would they force her ex-husband to bury her? Someone, please explain.

Most Hmong people are just unfair and unjust. There’s no justice in these case for the husbands side, since he’s hmong. When their daughter decided to leave, they can’t do anything about it and most of the time they just tell the husband too bad, she’s an adult we can’t help you. But if something bad happens to her later, and they are going to have to lose money they’ll put it back on the ex husband, if he’s hmong. Trying to say the exact reason stated in this story. If he was a white guy, obviously they won’t even bother him. But if there was a situation where they can benefit like say if there was $1million life insurance, they aren’t going to say hey you gotta do the funeral, and since you’re still technically married to her cuss u never sent her to us, that money is yours to claim, heck NO, y’all know this would never happen!!! Lol hahaha

Here’s a message to the husband or anyone out there who is wondering and don’t know:
If a shaman is like the one in this story, they are a scam, that’s why they couldn’t help solve your problem. They aren’t a real shaman, they are just a scam artist. Plain and simple.
A real shaman, who can actually help solve your issue, if it’s a complicated case and very difficult, they may tell you a price upfront, but most shamans rituals don’t have a price on it, a real shaman is suppose to just do things to help others and just take whatever is offered to them, majority of the time, exception is mentioned above. But if the play games while they are doing the ritual like this lady shaman in this story, where they keep raising the price and pretend they can’t do it unless more money, that’s total BS!! A real shaman will tell you straight out if they can’t do it. Red flag is when they can’t do something but more money will make them be able to do it, total scam!! If a shaman can’t do it, then NO amount of money will make them to be able to do that ritual successfully.
Exactly! My father is a shaman and he doesn’t ask the price for his service. Whatever they give him he just accept it. He always say he is given this power to help people righteously and it’s not a power to rip people off.

Well shit… that sounds like a scam to me if tus niam neeb wants that much money. I mean there’s so many different types of neeb now but the traditional way for the shaman is there to help and when you give them the money, it’s more of a thank you for helping me. What tus niam neeb did was probably ua neeb and scamming them at the same time I would’ve said no more either.
