Hello, Thank you for this very interesting tutorial. Can you tell me why I have all quantities equal to 0. When I select the walls, I have no surface, volume, thickness, length width. Everything is 0.00m or 0.000m², I'm using the same Revit and Navisworks models as you. Thanks again for your channel, thanks to which I understand Dynamo better. Have a nice day!
Thank you for your feedback ! glad to hear that my tutorials have been helpful to you. Regarding the issue with all quantities showing as 0.00m or 0.000m² when selecting walls, this problem could be due to a few reasons: The units in your Navisworks project are set correctly. If there is a unit mismatch between your model and the quantification settings, it can lead to incorrect quantities. You may also need to review your quantification setup in Navisworks to ensure that it is correctly configured to extract the desired quantities from the model. Check that you are selecting the right elements and parameters. And sometimes, while using a non-English version of Navisworks, certain issues may arise due to language-specific settings. I hope that was helpful, if the problem isn't solved, feel free to reach out again
@@HowToBIM Thanks for the answer. I tried and it still doesn't work. I tried setting the units parameters correctly but the quantities remain at 0.00. What a strange case!🙂 You need to create a mapping for naviworks versions other than English. If the Autodesk site says : When you use a metering version in Navisworks other than the English version, the elements generate values of 0. The English version of Navisworks indicates the correct values without adjustment. The property mapping XML file has already been modified. For me (French 😀), I need to configure a property mapping.
Hey, you can follow these steps to solve the issue for german, french and spanish versions : Close Navisworks Manage. Download the property mapping file for your language. Replace the existing "TakeoffPropertyMap1.xml" file in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Manage {version}\Quantification\takeoff_maps, removing the language suffix (e.g., esp, deu, fra). Restart Navisworks Manage to apply the changes. (Check out this file for more details : help.autodesk.com/sfdcarticles/attachments/How_to_cusomize_a_property_mapping_configuration.pdf
