I watches 2 matches live in the 86' World Cup that Diego played: Against England and against West Germany. When I watched Diego here, he gave a strong vibe, that sooner or later he would do something great, and in both matches he did. Ending in giving Argentina the World Cup. I've never felt that confidence in any other player, but an uncertainness. He's the kind of player that inspired such excitement, that you just didn't know what he would do next. That was the thrilling element of surprize, that kept you interested. When he stopped playing, a great part of football went with him. It wasn't quite the same! Especially what he did in those games against: Uruguay, England, and Belgium, it was something you would do in a dream, as growing up wanting to be some special footballer. Lo que me sorprendía de este tío era su explosión/potencia en el dribbling y la lucidez mental que conservaba en el tramo final de cada jugada, soportando semejante desgaste físico (forcejeos, patadas, marca personal y en zona). When I watched Diego here, he gave a strong vibe, that sooner or later he would do something great, and in both matches he did. Ending in giving Argentina the World Cup. I've never felt that confidence in any other player, but an uncertainness. He's the kind of player that inspired such excitement, that you just didn't know what he would do next. That was the thrilling element of surprize, that kept you interested. When he stopped playing, a great part of football went with him. It wasn't quite the same! Especially what he did in those games against: Uruguay, England, and Belgium, it was something you would do in a dream, as growing up wanting to be some special footballer. And he actually exceeded my expectations. He was the only player to do this. It would be extremely hard to see this kind of level again, especially at the highest level: The World Cup!!!!
