A suggestion from your Kiwi neighbours that drive in snow……a set of snow chains with ice breakers works a treat. Or even better a set for both front and rear tyres. They work a treat and make driving in and snow and ice way easier and a heck of a lot safer.
Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it. Ashton is 100% correct about the 49 looking great in the snow, but that's not limited to the JUST the 49. They ALL look amazing. I had to take a moment with that first wide shot with the 6x6 in the lead because they just looked so epic. Well done. Your footage is gorgeous on this trip. I was having a discussion with a buddy yesterday about the difference between being prepared and being capable. Your kids are my thesis. Being who they are, with having access to all the PCOR goodies that they have, obviously they are better prepared than most for these types of situations, but as well as they did in completely unfamiliar driving conditions, they proved how amazingly capable they are as well. I am consistently impressed by all three of them.
Seeing that back seat empty when all 3 kids used to sit back there was a bittersweet moment. It points to growth.. both us the viewer and you guys. Time is such a fragile thing and you don’t need to have Justins wealth and Trucks to make every moment count with your kids and your family.. I’m not rich but some of my favorite moments are when I sing with my daughter and she knows the songs I sing even though she can’t talk yet.. I have a feeling that no matter what business Justin’s dad built or what career Justin took, we would still be watching because at the end of the day it’s just about family, we’re lucky we get to tune in but it’s not even about RUclips . It’s about forever memories. Diamonds are forever, like loyalty and family. That’s why Mrs Justin there has one on her finger
Hi Justin and family, all the Aussie Toyota's look so good in the snow. I hope you can sort out the FJ49 it's a great build. And the twins are doing so well. Can't wait until the next video.
In that area people today are stuck in their homes with no food because of massive snowfall during this last storm. The governor was supposed to send up help but he left to go on vacation.
Awesome rigs and a great family adventure! So nice to see someone who is raising their kids the way you do, and exposing them to the great outdoors. We are looking forward to placing an order for a X3!
I found it interesting that they were so fascinated by the encounter with the deer 🦌 when here in suburban Pennsylvania, I have them in my front yard on a regular basis. ♥️✌🏼😎
You need snow tires. Mud tires do not work in snow. You want the snow to stick to the tires in order to give you traction. Also never get in between two vehicles or in between a vehicle and an object in the snow. If your vehicle slides you may not be able to get out of the way in time with the slippery conditions and none of this is worth getting killed over.
Justin, you are one lucky dad mate! I love following what you and your family are doing. it is inspirational and just love how you and your kids are getting the most out of life! Can wait to see Mia behind the wheel on some of these epic journeys as well.
I used to live in those mountains and it was the happiest time in my life. Id explore those trails whenever i liked in my jeep just getting away from it all on a whim. Good times
Patriot doing Aussie trucks in America and American trucks in Aussie 😄…good to see

You can camp in the snow in Australia
In that area people today are stuck in their homes with no food because of massive snowfall during this last storm. The governor was supposed to send up help but he left to go on vacation.
Some of the the mountains in California have 3-4 meters of snow on them now
You can actually drive in the snow in Australian snowfields offroad just like you did in California.

Интересный маршрут. Круто подготовленные машины. Но почему вы колёса то не спустили ??? Зацеп бы был намного лучше !

You all are in my backyard now. Those are the mountains i grew up wheeling in. Great times and great memories. Try going back in the spring or fall
Epic content. But you're gonna have to replace "mate" with "dude" when you're in Cali! 🤣
You can go do this kind of driving and camping in the Victorian high country if you know where to go.. not just in the USA.
Why Australian and USA people never use snowchains in the Winter at Offroading?
Been hangin for this ep! So sick!
Who does most of the filming on these trips? Do you share around or do you have another person doing all the filming?
She'd always carry a chainsaw just for events like this.😊
O yeah on this side of the pond you always make sure at least one person has a Saw and back up chain and bar
😂😂 never heard of the Victorian high country 😂😂
Deer, or venison?
Sooo epik awesome video 🤘❤❤❤👍
all the gear but no chainsaw, at least you got an whole episode out of it
Intresting to see toyota in snow
Carry a portable chain saw keep youever ready
I have a mate over in the US that has a few VDJ7X SERIES, and may have some spare oem 79 turbos laying around if needed.
A chainsaw is the best way to deal with fallen trees.
Next time bring chainsaw mate :)
Born and raised in southern California
