In The Sea Lyrics:
i feel it in my skin i feel it through my bones
your fingertips are falling far from where i know
i try to pin you down but you move like a dream
i want to find you but you dropped me in the sea
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
you dropped me
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
no no don’t rescue me
i like the salt water sting
it feels so good to feel
it feels so good just to feel something
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
you move so softly in the middle of the night
like a cocoon in sheets you wrap you up so tight
remember how we used to tangle up and breath
now you’re so far away you roll me in the sea
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
you dropped me
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
no no don’t rescue me
i like the salt water sting
it feels so good to feel
it feels so good just to feel something
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
oh oh oh...
no no don’t rescue me
i like the salt water sting
it feels so good to feel
it feels so good just to feel something
in the sea in the sea in the sea in the sea
I love the register Ingrid sings in for this song, and really I love most songs about the sea, but this is by far my most favorite Ingrid song ever, actually, and especially my favorite song on the last album. It feels powerful and consuming-- I get goosebumps during the "it feels so good to feeeel" parts :)
Omg, is there no style Ingrid can't sing in? Love her even more! :D
I love the edge. It's bitter, with teeth-gritting attitude. LOVE IT.
Have you ever heard of another artist with Ingrid's originality, ability to write, sing, perform, and sense of humor?
Didn't think so, person who disliked this.
Ingrid Michaelson, you are a genius. You just keep getting better.
Maybe it's my love of the sea in general, but this song has got to be my favorite off the album. I love the depiction of wanting someone who's pushing you away, not to mention the sea analogy is spot on. Brilliant song, this is.
They're both super-talented and have such cool styles. It would be really interesting to see a collaboration between the two.
I think this is the best song on the album!!
I WAS JUST THINKING THAT. That would be the best collab. Ever.
Omg. I think I would have a heart attack if Regina and Ingrid collaborated! They're my two favorite female artists :-)
At the moment....This could be my favorite off of this album.
Her albums differ so much I love it. She is maturing with each album I feel. I love the rawness of Boys and Girls, but this album does have a certain charm to it.
She's definitely a growing, evolving artist. And that's totally cool :-)
AMEN AMEN AMEN!
I love this song...
Ingrid, you're suuuuper.
Nate Crean .
Brilliant
Completely agree. It's an interesting mix of both, and it's kind like that with a few more songs on her album...
Great song.
Ahhh man this is so diferent to all Ingrids other stuff! Sort of a more mature sound? It's awesome! Absolutely LAV IT.
Diggin' this song :-)
POWERFUL.!!
THE DEEP BLUE SEA AND ME!
omigosh that would be really cool! i discovered Ingrid through Regina's music actually :)
Please come to Chattanooga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Her old music isn't my kind of music, too bubbly and bright. LOVE this song. I wouldn't mind if she made more like this lol
I actually agree, it's not a typical Ingrid's song, I'm used to rather softer, higher pitch sounds, less background, more voice. Which doesn't mean I dislike it - the opposite!
Regina Spektor ad on an Ingrid Michaelson song. :D:D
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Leave me be....in the sea............
Is there a fandom name for her?
at 0.002 seconds i favorited it
Sounds like the start or Reginas 'All The Rowboats' and same theme! + they shoud totally collaborate! :D
I think they mean Ingrid's other 4 albums kind of style. Sort of indie pop stuff. This is more dark indie stuff.
I think sofochobiscocho means that her recent music is different from what she sang before, which (older songs) some people call it ''their music'', meaning they only sing that type of music. A bit stereotypical though if you put it in that way.
she should collab with florence and the machine
Nice
One dislike...forever alone
Who ever clicked the dislike button is drowning in the sea and hates the salt water sting!
Where's the video?
This McDonalds ad is creeping me out.
Like for every time you dropped someone in the sea for them to be free!
...I guess no one has.
