I have a mid handle Hawaiian and I actually just purchased this gun for shore dives and dives around jettys. Needed something more compact and with less stopping power. Felt like I was using a bazooka inside a house with my Hawaiian.

great video as always! I have this gun size #1, what’s the main difference to the euro you did last video?

The Euro is teak and the Competitor is mahogany. Their shapes are different as well, if you look at them head-on, the competitor is taller and slimmer, and the euro is wider and lower profile. Other than that they're very similar, but the Euro has a smaller handle whereas the Competitor has a bigger handle and a slightly longer loading butt. I'd say normally Euros are very versatile and can be used for different styles of hunting, and Competitors are more for reef and hole hunting. Just my opinion and in the end totally up to the diver!

That’s what I thought too, good editing, well lit, great angle, very convincing thumb nail to, and .... rather short video. We want more.
