  • A heat wave is forecast to bring dangerously hot temperatures to the Midwest and Northeast this week, with at least 265 million people expected to experience temperatures above 90 degrees across the country. CBS News senior weather producer David Parkinson has more.

      No... It's not. It's no different than any other summer I've seen since 1985..... Sheep just believe what they're told. Records were broken last year definitely. But it was that hot at one time to create the records that were broken. It's summertime. It gets hot. That's what summer does.

    When I lived in New York back in the 60’s. My dad would open up the fire hydrants so all the kids could cool off.

    Man, it was this hot last year too. And I think the year before that... seems like it gets hot every year around June and it doesn't seem to cool off until around August or Sept. I wonder if there's some sort of pattern- maybe we should consult a climate scientist to explain why it gets hot every summer. Such a mystery, who would have expected?

    *Summer heat waves are nothing new. We live in upstate NY where we AVERAGE 8-10…90-degree days a summer. Last year in 2023 we had just 2. The record is 32 - in 1953! That’s 70 years ago long before anyone was talking about climate change or global warming!*

    I think now people believe in climate change. How it is effective, the whole world watch the news. Countries all over have so much heat. The worst is they have no air condition and no water. Most of us are lucky in the United States. We have those things but for how long😮
