- This video me repotting a pretty large Stromanthe into the LECA balls as well as discussing the effects of fluorescent lighting on the plants in your house. Do you still have fluorescent bulbs in your house? No one picks these on purpose, but there are "certain" rooms that have bright fluorescent lights and we can take advantage of those...who knew?

It is also warmer and more humid in the laundry room. I love using my full spectrum grow lights. I have doubled in string of tears plant in size in just once month from the date I bought them from having full spectrum LED 65 watt of each of the 3 arm on the grow lamp 24/7 on cloudy over cast winter days here with 4 seasons. In the last week the sun is shining in my West window and gets 6 hrs a day until it gets too cool for them and no sun. Then back to the grow light bathroom with humidifier of 35-50% Great content video!! *By the way what is the powder you put on the roots after you washed your plant in the sink?*
LED Lighting Pros: More powerful and effective than CFLs. Much less heat output than HIDs. Lower energy use/running costs.
LED Lighting Cons: Less yield than comparable HIDs (regardless of what anyone says - don’t believe the hype!) Expensive purchase price will scare off some growers. You can also find many humidifiers that are mostly portable at the Thrift stores. As well as planters, desk lamps etc.

I recently(2weeks) put my Triostar into LECA and the leaves are starting to curl🤦🏻♀️, it is under a grow light and by a humidifier.. do you have any idea why she is doing this? As you can tell I’m new at semi hydro
You may want to ask on insta...curling leaves to me is either humidity or it would like some Epsom salt spray
so how is the stromanthe doing in leca? I have one and thought about converting it. Anxious to hear how this one is doing.
Mine was not looking so hot-so I gave away...BUT I was new at it AND I think it was goi g a little dormant...would try again in a heartbeat

I have not heard-I have other Khalif yes that are still doing very well I actually did not want to fool with this one because it acted like it was going dormant and I didn’t have a place to put the dormant Stromanthe at the time...but it seemed to love the setup-I actually sent that one to the bin😬bec. I did not want a dead looking plant hanging around-roots were okay though
