  • One of the fun aspects of my model railroading experience is creating and building scenery elements on my On30 Mosquito Creek Lumber Company Swamp Logging layout!
This is Part-3 of a multi-part series on making realistic trees using floral wire armatures. In this video I'll show you how I recreate Spanish moss and add static grass to represent small tree branches.
Be sure to check out the previous two videos in the Making Trees series.
    Thanks for watching!

    You're doing a great job. It's all about layers...wish I'd learned that 40 years ago.😂

Thank you very much. Layers take longer but so worth it in the end. We have to retrain our modeling minds !!

These scraggly looking trees are perfect for the bayou. Nothing is straight or perfect in the swamp!

This has been fun to watch. I too, experimented with Boomer's techniques. I'm very interested in seeing how these turn out. Thanks for the series.

Try clamping the fiber to a flat board. Then comb it with a toothbrush while giving it a light mist of Aqua-net hairspray. When it looks good, let it dry, then glue it to the branch.

Hey….thanks very much!! The song is a track from a free music download site that I use… I think it’s called something like Hip-Hoprock Bayou Cheifin Blues or Mississippi Blues!

@@mosquitocreeklumberco.7983 Thank you, I heard it on Bourbon street walking around, you know how they play music in all the shops so you can hear it outside. The one I heard the most was "Little Toot-Toot" Love your videos and info and mostly your style. Thanks.
