All the songs I have heard from Romaine so far have been sad. I hadn’t thought about how happy he looks in the Big Push performances I have watched so far. He has a beautiful voice.😊
Romain is a talented artist whose songs are passionate, melodic, powerful and a touch of melancholy! His voice is soft and sweet and rich, coupled with his expert guitar playing which complement his musical repertoire! His music is life, feelings, situations, struggles and the day to day! Nice reaction and commentary! Great to see you delving into Romain’s amazing solo work. Like many brilliant artists, it seems like he reveals a lot of himself and his struggles in his music. I am usually only moved to write when I am really sad and wonder if someone reads my journal entries when I die, they might think I led a wretched life. Which is not true! 😅
All I know about Romain is he French and has some great bilingual songs (one he did with Ren, called French Song). Ren said they met busking and had recently broken up with their girlfriends so they got a flat together with some other mates (sounded like a party house).
He has a lot of great instrumental pieces (e.g.,75 beats, Blue) and some of his lyrical songs that are more upbeat like, Metamorphosis which is really a sweet coming of age song. His last release, Turn The Lights Down, is a fun vampire thriller! ❤

Most of his busking covers are not sad 😊 I especially like Georgia on my Mind! I love his voice and how he makes his guitar sing (I wonder what her name is?). Most of his originals are introspective leaning towards melancholy but are beautiful. You should listen to “Love Without Feelings” I really like the live version with him on piano with a choir and some strings as backup; it is lovely! Thanks for the reaction! Let’s go give Romain some more views!
