I would think high temperatures setting would be set for the middle of the temperatures settings. In cold climates, the light would stay cooler longer and hot climates shorter. Aluminum transfers heat faster over the whole light than other materials do. Small lights would heat up faster than large ones even with less light output. Adding a rougher surface to the reflector adds more reflection surface and adds flood light. Mirror surfaces add concentration to the reflection as will the angle of the reflector used. The shape of the lens also can affect the light magnification and clarity of the the lens material. The LED bulb also can affect the color and the amount of light that produced. You could measure the heat of the light on a surface and find how warm the beam makes it too. 🐯
True. Some of these beams burn through denim, nylon, set leaves on fire. The electronics can handle more heat than my hand can. Some people trick the light into putting out more light longer by increasing the high temperature cut off, and telling the driver the battery is at a higher voltage than it is. I think that's just to test the limits of what's possible. I'd rather have my flashlight 🔦 not become a literal torch in my hand 🔥😂
Just picked this up. Im used to toasty with the ts10 at 55°, so this will be better. Ordered the combo (sft40 + mag tail cap + diffuser) for 20 bucks on sale. Cant go wrong with that pricing. I have weltool T1 pro tac for long shots but this is a good addition. Thanks for this video.

As much as i like the spotlight, that temperature is something to take in account for. Even after short use, you don't want to drop it in your pocket right away. Well at factory settings it isn't as hot, but still 45 degrees celsius is quite warm. Thank you for testing William.
They do get toasty in turbo. Ooh, toasty turbo Tuesday or Thursday. Turn your flashlight 🔦 on turbo and drop it in a glass of water to warm it up for tea or coffee ☕️. Kinda inefficient, but it would work, I think. 🤔🔦🔥☕️
Yea that's what I worry about with some of these is the heat. I have a tiny flashlight, not sure of the name, it's a titanium body 1 AAA & you can't use it very long cuz it gets way too hot, but it;s not really for long time usage. It can get confusing with all the flashlights & flashlight companies out there. The way I approach it is figuring out where I use a light the most & what kind of beam pattern & run time I need. Then, I buy a bunch of flashlights of every configuration 😂🔦🔦🔦🔦🔦🔦🔦🔦

I have the sft40 version. Its my favorite EDC flashlight so far. To me its the best of both worlds, flood/throw. Plus I love anduril 2.0.
