Production/sales for the FC13 have been paused currently.
There's been a lot of mixed opinions about the new FC13, and I wanted to address some of them in this comparison video and show you the pros and cons of each. These are both very different flashlights. I'd think they were from completely different product lines if not for the similar naming structure. The FC12 has a tactical design and switch, is slimmer, and throws significantly further. The FC13 is more of a floody flashlight with one e-switch (non-tactical), and Anduril 2 UI. It's strange to even compare them! Hang around until the end for some beam-shot comparisons of both.

A tip for when you do the throw comparison and use a tree as an example: turn the lights on one at a time, so that the difference is as clear as possible. At 17:57 when you compared the two lights, the 13 keeps flooding while you show the 12. I have the 12 and it really is a thrower with very bad flood IMO. It would be nice to see that clearly in your video because I would guess the 13 is more than 50% better at flooding?
The cool thing with the FC12 is that it behaves like a search light with a defined circle. My phone floods better for a walk with the dog than the FC12, but with the 12 you can see further. For dog walking I am getting the feeling the FC13 is more versatile since you won't be throwing as much as flooding to keep an eye on your pet and the surroundings.

Thanks for the feedback man, I'll keep that in mind for next time. The FC13 is definitely a more practical option for walls where you don't need to see too far ahead. With the FC12, there's limited spill, just a small circle near the hotspot.

Thanks for sharing. Received mine earlier with HD15 (both in purple). I do admit that these are very affordable brand and I am surpirse with its finishing which is on par with othe brands that are far more expensive. As I was testing earlier, I find that the UI is straight forwards. Beam pattern is not that perfect but acceptable. Bright hotspot and it throws well around 330m. Tried the shortbody/18350 and it works like the standard body. Highly pocketable little light. Cheers

Very nice, that shorter body would really make it pocketable. Actually I was thinking to swap in an CSLPM1 in there for extra throw. Just not sure if the beam pattern will be odd with that smaller reflector.

another usefull review, thx a lot !
would you consider doing a video about Wurkkos/Sofirn (or may be other brands) compatibilities between parts and models, especially concerning short tubes, tailswitch and remote switches ?
would be interesting to see what is possible to play lego to build custom flashlights on purpose.

Not sure if you did it in the final comparison at the end of the video, but the FC12 has to be double clicked to be put in turbo mode after turning the light on. It will not default to turning on in turbo mode.

Hi there, so I find that if I switch mine into smooth ramp mode, I can ramp it to the max. Then when I turn it off and activate momentary mode, it goes to max again. Is it the same with yours?

Do you have a fc11 as well? I was curious if you could confirm if the fc11 battery tube fits on the fc12. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you

I don't, was going to buy one last week but ended up getting the TS10 instead. I think it would be likely to fit on.. check the battery tube diameter specs?

Belle revue.

Great idea with the 18350 tube! I couldn't find one for the FC12 last time I checked. Thanks for watching.
