Here in Fairfax VA, the last time we had a winter with above average snowfall was 2015-16, when that huge blizzard happened. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this winter will be another warm and snowless one.
Thanks for watching! I am very unfamiliar with this area, so apologies if my info is off. The area looks to see an average of between 100-200 inches (around 250-500 cm) each year depending on elevation, though a city like Cranbrook averages between 40-50 inches (around 100-130 cm). The area should see average to slightly above average precip over the course of the winter with slightly below average temperatures, which could lead to a snowier winter than average. Snowfall should be above average this winter, and though specific amounts are impossible for a region with such varying elevation, between 250 and 600 cm looks possible this winter, likely with lower amounts toward the south and higher amounts to the north.
Thanks for watching! Cleveland averages around 64 inches of snow during the winter, and we're expecting average to slightly above average snowfall this winter. I'd say between 60-68 inches is a good estimate. As for temperatures, you'll likely be at or just above average, though you'll still see arctic blasts like any other winter, and your precipitation should overall be above average.
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately I highly doubt the area will see any snow this year as temps will simply be too warm, but you could see a small event or two that give an inch or so. I would be worried about sleet or ice more in this region than snow this year.
@@SebastianVaughan-513 Thanks for watching! Concord NH averages around 60-70" of snow annually, and we expect near to slightly above average snowfall this winter. I would estimate somewhere between 60 and 75 inches of snow this winter, leaning toward the higher end of that range.
Thanks for watching! Cincinnati will likely see a slightly warmer and wetter winter than average, with slightly below average snowfall. The city averages around 22" of snow annually, so I'd estimate around 14 - 20" this year.
Thanks for watching! Southeastern Ohio usually averages between 20 and 30 inches of snow during the winter. We're expecting below average snowfall this year, so I would estimate between 12-20 inches of snow, lesser amounts to the south and higher to the north.
Thanks for watching! East-central Indiana is right in the sandwich zone, with likely warm air to your south and cold air to your north being the predominant pattern. I'd expect the area to see a relatively equal amount of cold air outbreaks and warm bubbles, and your snowfall should be at or just below average.
The forecasts for the Toronto area are pretty conflicting, some say to expect a cold and snowy winter, some say expect mild and dry, etc., so that area will likely be difficult to forecast. I personally think the area will have a slightly milder winter with near to slightly above average snowfall. The city averages around 48 inches/122 centimeters of snowfall each winter, so I'd say between 45 and 55 inches, or between 114 and 140 centimeters, is a good bet.
Thanks for watching! Philly usually averages around or just above 20" of snow during the winter, so based on current modelling, I'd guess you'll see somewhere between 6" and 14". If you're further north or west, perhaps in the mountains, a city like Reading sees around 30" on average, so I'd estimate between 16" and 24" for them. If you're closer to Lancaster, you'd average around 20" to 25", so I would estimate between 10" and 18" there. These numbers are all assuming that the winter season does end up being warmer than average with an unfavorable storm track. If you'd like me to answer anything else or go more in-depth, just let me know!
@@ronedwards5413 The mountains of northern Georgia usually see between 4 and 8 inches of snow annually, but with warmer and drier than average conditions expected, I would expect less than 4 inches of snow. If you're in or around the Atlanta metro, you average around 2 inches per year, but with the aforementioned conditions, the city will be hard pressed to get any accumulating snow this winter.
Lansing typically receives an average of around 45-50 inches of snow during a winter season, and with average to slightly below average temps and above average precipitation expected this year, the city should see above average snowfall. I would estimate somewhere between 50 and 60 inches would be a good bet.
We are in the Sun’s maximin. Thing are warm and wet. Four years from now cooler Then a couple of years of ice and snow. Then bitter cold and dry. Hopefully, it doesn’t stay there. Ice age time.
@ i think this winter will be frigid when its dry but when precip comes the temperature increases and mabye if a severe cold spell hits we get snow and i live in nyc and the 2022-23 forecats was 100 percent inaccurate
My prediction is a mild December with snow showers frigid January when there is no precip but once the precip comes it is rain or mixed maybe 2 snow day February will be snowy and cold march will be 1 snow day then warm

Good. I live in the southeast. Warmer and dryer sounds pretty awesome to me.
It was 80 something degrees in Hartford CT a few days ago in the month of November
I know, it's absurd. It was 80-85 across a lot of the east coast in the past week, insane stuff!
Warm Winter's will continue for the foreseeable future.
For sure
An unfortunate reality. The best chance the states has at seeing a brutally cold winter is another 2021-esque SSW, but I'm doubtful.
Winter 2014 was the last time we were well below zero several times here in Ohio
We need pdo to flip otherwise the east will be favored to be under a ridge
@@draggy6544 also very true, the Southeast Ridge has been present for at least the past 3 or 4 winters and just refuses to break down!

@@WeatherSphere22 thanks for letting me know I am a big snow lover 🌨️❄️
I live here in Whittier and Western North Carolina and want to know how much snow and colder weather there.
You'll likely see warmer and drier conditions than normal this winter. Your average snowfall is around 6 inches, but you should expect less than that.
