I found a reddit post called "What's the best strat for the Sauna?" (in r/FireEmblemThreeHouses) that had a detailed response but I have no idea how reliable it is
Pushing past feeling good is really the way to push both of them in the high variance. The other place that has like no research is the Amiibo Gazebo and the items you get from it. Had to do like a few hours of testing to work it out.
It’s somewhat funny that characters from Faerghus are worst at the Sauna, because as I understand it they tend to be more popular in colder countries. I can also say from experience that being from a warm climate does not automatically mean you can handle a sauna, they get far hotter and more humid than basically anywhere does normally.
For the sauna you can fish for a chance to not overheat your ally if you do stay longer. If you see they’re maxed out and you’re almost there, stay longer can keep them from going over the limit. It saves a bit of resetting but also it’s completely random. My advice is to just spam stay longer unless you see both of them barely moving up. also Byleth has insane heat tolerance levels so it’s absolutely a flip of the coin if she’s gonna get barely any heat or instantly go to half with an increase steam option
Interesting. I always spam Increase Heat (or whateves the top option is) and just use stay longer as a last resort if option 1 leads to a guaranteed overheat
I'm not convinced that "heat tolerance" as a stat in the sauna is even a thing. I've had way too much variance over resets with the same characters taking the same actions (eg. increasing steam as first action ranging from getting less than Byleth to filling half the bar) to put much stock in it. I think it might just be a plausible-sounding myth about a relatively unexplored mechanic. One thing I _do_ know about it that I don't see mentioned much is that characters can be "saved" from overheating by Byleth. I'm not sure exactly what the requirements for it are, but I suspect it is related to the character's support level with Byleth. (The green tolerance zone in which characters can reach "refreshed" status without actually reaching the line also seems to be based on support.)
I started my own blue lions maddening clear to win the stat race because of this series. Just wanted to let you know i did infact win the stat race but edelgard killed my poor constance and balthus
Long time Houses fan here…could someone explain to me what exactly the stat race is? I’ve been watching this series and it sort of seems to be the most efficient way of playing the game?
@@LFPman basically, Mekkah and Raisins are trying to prove you can hit the stat benchmarks to win the game there's a video they reference when they came up with this series talking about "cheating the stat race" or something? in which a different member of the community says the most efficient way to win Three Houses is to ignore stats - using things like Hunters Volley/Swift Strikes so you don't need a speed stat, or a lot of warp shenanigans to avoid the hardest enemies, gambit spam, etc etc. So "winning the stat race" means doubling naturally, or stacking up Prt and Rsl and other hard stats.
How the heck does Sauna work?????????

@@pacmanpowerghost Do you actually need to own the amiibos to access that? tbh I don't feel like spending money on any.
@@OriginalRaisins I'm pretty sure you need them, Faking Amiibos with a phone is possible but def isn't legal without a real one anyway.

I noticed how weak felix and sylvain to resist hot temperature
Fucking Petra can remain unsatisfied from 5 straight steam increases, jesus.
Almost 2 hour monastery video you love to see it

The names for the replacement units are really funny.

I-noticed-years-ago-that-stay-longer-raises-more-if-steam-was-increased-first.-Basically-Increase-Steam-is-exponential-growth-while-stay-longer-is-linear,-but-also-linked-to-how-much-you-increased-heat-in-the-first-place.
