  • If you are looking for a hotel/resort on the Seychelles watch this 7-minute video of the Kempinski Seychelles Resort at Baie Lazare on Mahé island. It is taken from a longer holiday movie I made of our visit there in 2020. It is a tropical paradise with beautiful surrounding, gardens, pools, hills, beaches, snorkelling, restaurants, bars and fabulous large rooms, super helpful staff. In addition you can take daily trips to other islands, snorkelling /diving areas and the capital. All film & photos by me (except title map uses Google Earth).

Thank you. The food is of course excellent. There was only a small kiosk for souvenirs etc. The nearest convenience store (actually a small shop) is a 20 minute walk away. Check out Google Maps.

Are there lot of Moskitos and Insects next to this lake and in the Hotel area ? Is the beach clean or there are lot of seagrass and seaweed ? Is the sea side easy accesable for swimming or there are lot of rocks and stones in the shallow water area? Thank you for answer

We did not encounter any mosquitoes or biting insects anywhere.
The beach areas are everywhere we’re immaculately clean.
Of course there is some seaweed & grass which attract the fish but generally swimming you are above it. It adds to the swimming/snorkelling pleasure.
Beautiful sand in the paddling area so just walk in & swim but there are reefs & broken coral further out. NEVER go paddling or swimming without flippers or rubber shoes though as there are black spiny urchins among the rocks. Stings are painful.
It’s a beautiful place. Don’t worry too much. We had a great holiday.

How Safe is it to be at beach side during night ?

The government travel advice links I posted previously do not now work. Sorry; Nevertheless the Seychelles is considered relatively safe and the crime rate is very low. Generally you will be using the hotels private beaches & be in groups. Take normal precautions wherever you travel in the World; Don’t carry valuables, don’t go out alone, keep hold of your bags/backpack, beware of pickpockets. Otherwise don’t worry & enjoy a wonderful holiday there and the fantastic beaches day & night. One advice though, NEVER walk in the sea without wearing beach shoes. The black sea urchins are painful if you stand on one (I have experience of this).
