August 2019 we flew down but had to drive back home to New York to avoid a hurricane. We stopped in North Carolina for the night since it’s a long ride back to the northeast!
My first trip to Disney was a road trip. I was 24, my brother was 16. The day before I decided we will go and we winged the whole thing, drove from Northern Virginia, grabbed a cheap motel, bought tickets the same day and had a lot of fun, although I was so tired and hot I did not wait for fireworks. My only fault was going in July with no preparation. That was incredibly hot! Other than that it was a fun adventure and bonding time with my youngest brother ❤️
I know driving makes your trip so much longer, but there is something exciting about loading the car and heading on an adventure! I’m glad it went so well!! 🎉
Great video. My family drives from Boston to FL every summer. We take about 26 hours to get there, it’s 22 hrs if you drive straight no stopping. I have one tip for long rides like that with kiddos.. use seat covers, a towel, or even a blanket spread on the back seats under the car seats. It makes it very simple and quick to just pick up that blanket and shake out any crumbs. Plus protects from any accidental spills. We position ours so we don’t even have to remove the car seats to do it, just tuck it under.
We drive from Toronto ON Canada, on paper it's 10.5hrs x 2 days so 21hrs. With stops and border we take about 12hrs the first day. The first time we did it back in 2006, the kids were 9, and 2 three yr olds.i thought I was going to lose my mind, 2nd day everyone was so excited they behaved lol. We have always drives as airfare can be pricey!
Just found your video and 1/2way through and I like it so far. Just one thing. While great tip about eating and driving, while I agree it's a great time saver and I do it as well. Just be careful with kids because if they begin to choke on food it is very hard to stop and get out on a busy highway.
Have you done a road trip to Disney? 😍 How long is your drive?

In 2019 we drove from the Montgomery, AL area and it was about an 8 hour drive. Which wasn't bad at all.
20hrs!

Your girl is so cute!! Her nooooo at the grocery store ❤️
She was too funny while we were at Publix 😂
My kids never sleep anymore on trips. Lol! We drive from NE Alabama and it’s a 9-10 hr drive. They just have so much excitement.
How do you tackle lunch on the way home? Do you typically have enough food leftover from the week for a sack lunch at the end of your trip?
We’ll usually pick something up from the deli section at a grocery store before we hit the road 👌🏼☺️
Did you get a new camera? The quality looks so good!
I actually used my iPhone 13 on this trip! 🙌🏼
Where did you find the bins that you put the car snacks and toys in? I definitely need something like that! Thank you!
Amazon! I have it linked in this road trip prep video ☺️ ruclips.net/video/_oEkdoWp3Yw/видео.html
