Until we have patch-notes (or if they say it in a PLL) I will hold to my theory that they will remove rezz on all casters. Having a "kind of support"-caster without rezz and keeping it on RDM and SMN doesn't make sense to me.

That would be interesting, an attempt to rebalance classes, and considering ... what, each expansion adds like 1 or 2 other abilities or enhances current ones to each class?

This I surely guarantee;
Wind and water will be AoE.

Possible. I see a mix of single attack, aoe, and dots being utilized. Red Mage at least had 4 of the 6, Wind, Lightning, Fire, and Stone. And while they don't have any DoT abilities, Black Mage's do with their Lightning, and they have Ice.
My only concern is juggling between so many abilities. Maybe 2 of them are proc abilities, like Red Mage's VerStone and Verfire, when using Veraero and Verthunder. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, considering Dancer (if Picto will work similar mechanically) where half of the abilities are procs and the rest are just normal fillers with another ability to force proc.
Either way, I'm SO EXCITED to see both Pictomancer and Viper!
