    I have an HPE ML350 G9 with a pair of E5 2697A V4's and 96gigs of memory being used for an over-kill Plex server set to "Make my CPU hurt" mode and the highest streaming settings with an Nvidia Quadro P4000 and while streaming 4k outside the house on a 1gig Fiber internet connection the server may see 2% CPU and 4% GPU, it's hilarious trying to stress it. Also uses 10gbe on the local network for fast backups.

    You should fire up some modern warfare warzone with the graphics turned completely down to see where it becomes CPU limited. Very curious on this as I will be running a 2699A single processor soon. Also make sure you are turning off vsync or framerate limiters.

    Okay so since your monitor appears to be 1080p, (I saw it in doom eternal) I'm going to assume all the games are running in that res.
    Comparing your cyberpunk benchmark to other ones, this GPU is being bottlenecked.
    If you show what settings and resolution you're using it would be significantly more informative.
    Also, the Minecraft issue is because you used bedrock. Java allows you to allocate as much ram as you want. Like you can give it literally all of it if you want.

      Not bad feed back, going forward I'm going to change the way I do things, one I'm going to put all the benchmark numbers spec information for all games at the start of the video that people don't have to watch through the entire video if they don't want to. Two I'll no longer cap the game at 60fps that way it'll show clearer where it lacks. I did show very quickly the game menu what I was running the game at in each game. I was running all games at 1080p max settings.
      This system did not play nicly with the 6900, the 3090 didn't seem to have these problems.
      As for Minecraft, yes I'm fully aware of java little ram adjustment. I've allocated up to 48gb, the problem is it didn't change the render distance.
      Thanks for the feedback.

      @@ProjectSmithTech oh it's interesting to hear that it wasnt just the system, but the fact it had the 6900.
      Hmm.
      I'd blame the chipset but it doesn't have a south bridge for the pci slots.
      Interesting.
      Im going to be doing videos on a Lenovo p710 build which will use two of these CPUs also. Maybe I could nab a 6900xt.

      @@kingston1547 it could, or it could be other things. The 3090 wasn't tested at the same time. It was a per release version of windows 11 at the time of testing. I'm really hoping the Intel's A770 plays nicely with DaVinci resolve. That way it'd free up my 3090 which is serving really well as work station GPU.

      @@ProjectSmithTech Hey so I figured something out. I have this config with a 1080ti in a lenovo p710, and I discovered that if you use the CPU affinity settings in task manager and force a game to only use one cpu, you get way better performance. Cyberpunk really hates having load split up between both nodes, for instance. I went from like 50fps to 70. You can also tell a game to use less cores to get more frequency out of these xeons, for games that like higher speeds.
      Its actual magic, try it out

      Damn, i am doing the Same. (P710, dual E5-2697v4, going to get a rx 7900 xtx If everything goes Well.)
      How did it Turn Out Performance wise?

    will this configuration for video processing h264, h265 and blender be good?

    • @ProjectSmithTech
      @ProjectSmithTech  Год назад +1

      Honestly, I don't know. I've never relied on an AMD card to do anything important. All of my videos have been rendered in h265 with a 3090 or AV1 with the Intel A770. As for blender, I never used it. Sorry, I wish I could be of better help.

    Flash BIOS with ReBar?

      And then use my intel Arc A770? I have actually thought about that. As of now, no ReBar.

    Is working fine this Chinese motherboard x99 fbd
    Ram frequency 2400 or less?
    Ecc

    • @ProjectSmithTech
      @ProjectSmithTech  9 месяцев назад

      I'm having random problems with the DRAM. I believe it's operating at only two channels per CPU. If you are interested in this configuration, try to find a brand known motherboard. If it's the V4 CPU's it will run at 2400mhz.

    Does this motherboard support dual xeon e5 2699 v4?

    • @ProjectSmithTech
      @ProjectSmithTech  10 месяцев назад +1

      I'm almost certain it does. The highest core count I've put in there is E5 2697A V4. Keep I'm mind the Chinese Motherboard aren't that great.

    how well would this do in video editing?

    • @ProjectSmithTech
      @ProjectSmithTech  Год назад +4

      Honestly, probably not that well. I did video edited on the 11900K with A770 and so far it beat my current video editing rig. Which is a dual Intel Xeon Platinum P-8124 pair with a 3090.
