Its a second selling coming in existance( superman is still first) but with time, one piece will be number 1,im sure on that. If u dont have time to react it, just watch it, its a great adventure story full of comedy, drama, great storytelling, characters personalities and designs, probably best world building on anime in general, full of great moments, sad scenes and fun. Calling Chopper their pet made my day lol. My favorite opening is 21. When you know the lyrics of 21 it makes it so much better like "even failure is strangely charming" is such a wonderful lyric. Kinda glad you had to skip opening 14 in the vid since it always makes me tear up lol, but a shame since it's a great song.

I'm never a fan of one piece because of its art style and because it's too long, but the way people love the anime so much made me intrigued to watch it and when i tried to watch the first 10 episodes, it's okay, til the 20th ep when i first tried to watch one piece til sunrise, after that, whenever there's the peak of an arc, i never sleep just to watch it in one go... Naruto is more depressing than One Piece, but One Piece is a lot more emotional. It'll make you cry both from sadness and from happiness so many times it will make you go insane! Plus it have awesome fighting and beautiful scenes. There are some boring arcs, but the show generally gets better and better, to the point that it's probably one of best stories I've ever seen! Buy everything in the show is connected, so you have to view the whole show except for the 'out of place "fillers" '. That type of filler you can skip without worrying about missing anything. (Some of the those fillers are connected to the movies, so watch them directly befor the corresponding movie). Though I recommend completing/skip Naruto Shipuden or HxH before you start with One Piece. (Max 2 long-running shows at a time. For you well being). Hoppes this helps you decide what to do.❤👒🏴☠
Well, I've seen so many animes, and I think the Straw Hat Pirates (Luffy's group) will always be my number 1 anime group ever, I mean I watched One Piece for more than half of my life (I'm at my mid of 20s) and I've growing up together with them like since forever, if you caught up with One Piece in the future you will learn each of their different background, unique personality, way of thinking, until their ability or their speciality for the crew, also the relationship and chemistry of them towards each other. And it makes me so happy that you also interested with the group, not to forget about the other characters with their own history, and also the great world + story building. There's so many related real world conflicts in this series, like genocide, racism, slavery, human trafficking, corruption, piracy (of course) and many more, but still, I think One Piece is not a really complex anime, that it still can be understood by new watchers easily despite it's large world building and more than a thousand of episodes

the thing about One Piece and the fact it have over 1000 eps is that it is mostly due to how they adapt it at a very slow pace compare to other show like for other show they adapt normally 2-4 chapter per ep but One Piece is basically at a 1 chapter or less per ep pace now which mean it is 2-3 time longer than it should be compare to other for example the newest Chainsaw Man adapt almost 40 chapter for a total of 12 anime ep, the One Piece manga have a total of 1070+ chapter which in theory should translate to 360 ep but instead we have over 1040+ ep of anime, with One Piece pace in manga at most it should be a bit over 500 ep
I started One Piece since it was 600 episodes, and finished those in 2 weeks, since then i did rewatch entirety of it 2 more times. Its a show you fall in coma to, and cant be bothered about anything else. Find time its definitely worth it. People always actually have time.
This show may not be as violent and graphic as Attack on Titan, but it does have blood(more so as time goes on) and death. It also covers a lot of dark and serious topics (like slavery, child experiments, corruption, and SOOO much more.) Oda the sole creator of One Piece has tried to make this show stay just barley in the "for teens and up" category. In the manga a man eats his own leg to survive so her won't starve to death, in the anime he uses a chain to detach it in order to free himself of being pined down. There's more examples of manga vs anime, but either way his leg is gone. I prefer the anime personally (color, sound, music, moving pictures, voices, etc.). This show has some of the best forshadowing and lore of any anime or show in general. Like something from the first few episodes hints as something that doesn't appear or reveal until hundreds of episodes later. You have to pay attention to what characters say, do, and think. Everything is connected or will appear later.
take your time with One Piece, its got some years on it still. And you know its not like you have to watch a lot for it to get good, you will be hooked by ep 30 and every moment after is great

Just start from the beginning of the anime, if you do want a movie to watch before starting Strong World doesn't really spoil anything and you won't be too confused without any context, film red requires much more context before watching

You said they should make a real life One Piece movie.....they are actually doing a live action show. It's gonna be on Netflix and will be the most important and invested show Netflix has ever had. Crazy high expenses. Good cast. Really well done props. Good CGI and more.

This anime is great, start with the anime first. If you do start with any one piece movie. Start with one piece movie 6. But this anime is my fav anime and media of all time. I have watched about 100 anime, including most of the big giant anime; and one piece is by far my fav: the story telling and writing, comedy, action, characters, world-building, emotions are all too tier the best!! The Japanese voice cast does such such an amazing job!!! And OH My man, this show can get very very very intense and dramatic!!😢😢the anime has many changes throughout the series and it’s at its best currently right now!! In this anime, it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster: it will have you laughing and crying very often! I really hope you react to it.

the thing about One Piece and the fact it have over 1000 eps is that it is mostly due to how they adapt it at a very slow pace compare to other show
like for other show they adapt normally 2-4 chapter per ep but One Piece is basically at a 1 chapter or less per ep pace now which mean it is 2-3 time longer than it should be compare to other
for example the newest Chainsaw Man adapt almost 40 chapter for a total of 12 anime ep, the One Piece manga have a total of 1070+ chapter which in theory should translate to 360 ep but instead we have over 1040+ ep of anime, with One Piece pace in manga at most it should be a bit over 500 ep

I started One Piece since it was 600 episodes, and finished those in 2 weeks, since then i did rewatch entirety of it 2 more times. Its a show you fall in coma to, and cant be bothered about anything else. Find time its definitely worth it. People always actually have time.
This show may not be as violent and graphic as Attack on Titan, but it does have blood(more so as time goes on) and death. It also covers a lot of dark and serious topics (like slavery, child experiments, corruption, and SOOO much more.) Oda the sole creator of One Piece has tried to make this show stay just barley in the "for teens and up" category. In the manga a man eats his own leg to survive so her won't starve to death, in the anime he uses a chain to detach it in order to free himself of being pined down. There's more examples of manga vs anime, but either way his leg is gone. I prefer the anime personally (color, sound, music, moving pictures, voices, etc.). This show has some of the best forshadowing and lore of any anime or show in general. Like something from the first few episodes hints as something that doesn't appear or reveal until hundreds of episodes later. You have to pay attention to what characters say, do, and think. Everything is connected or will appear later.
