I stopped reading the Times in 2017, after 20 years of it being my go to source. The lexicon shifted so rapidly; belying the Times own bias while at the same time all the Times seemed to talk about was BIAS everywhere else but themselves.
As soon as I heard Unheard's story on being blacklisted I went directly to their website and subscribed for an enitre year. I don't even want or use the subscription, I just wanted to be certain their work was being funded.
There are so many people in government who belong in jail, and so many people in jail to who belong in government, it's enough to make one's head spin.
When I read stuff I disagree with I think of the reasons I disagree. Sometimes I change my opinion because I see a point-of-view I didn't see before. I love it when I'm proven wrong - it makes me feel alive! We live in a society of zombies: people who are asleep-walking through life. They follow the rules and processes completely blind to what's actually going on around them. This attitude has brought airliners down, as an example. Debate is healthy and human. As a black man I would give my life to defend a white supremacist's right to say what they say. I'm being sincere. I would not offer my life to defend censors. Freedom is everything. What we need is solid values. Honor, integrity, work, kindness and compassion. Love. We don't need censorship. It is the tool of judgement and hatred.
I agree! White supremacy and other kinds of racism aren't just evil, they're illogical, indefensible, and don't stand up to criticism. But we have to have free speech in order to show how wrong those ideas are. Just silencing racists doesn't stop racism. Sunshine is the best disinfectant!
Except we don’t see them going against the WSJ, Forbes or The Weekly Standard. Your point is not without merit, but the level of dangerous misinformation has been coming from the established right wing media, not the left. If liberals had invaded the Capitol, killed cops, and MSNBC was defending them, then you’d have more of a point. BTW, I’m independent, but I find the left’s rhetoric to be annoying and enervating. The rightwing rhetoric has been dangerous.
@@thesilkpainter That sounds like the battle cry of somebody who wants to pointlessly argue for the fun of arguing. I'm not sure where you live, but I have had the freedom to say pretty much whatever I want, but there are consequences for saying things that people don't want to hear. Freedom doesn't mean freedom from all consequences. What it means it that you would be allowed to say things with very little legal consequence; that your right to speech is protected. In some nations, you legally cannot say anything bad about the leader of the country. In my country you can.

Respectfully, I DISAGREE about the NY Times. As an Indian American, I am very offended by that paper allowing Muslim authors to make derogatory opinion articles about India and the Indian government. It was 1990, and Muslims in Kashmir went on a rampage of genocide against Hindus and either killed or expelled most Hindus from Kashmir which had been their home for thousands of years. The western media like the NY Times didn't have much to say. Go back 500 years, and the first Mughal king Babur destroyed a Hindu temple and built a mosque. It was only after the BJP government came into power that Hindus were allowed to rebuild the temple that the Muslims destroyed. Oh my, that surely strongly displeased the NY Times. The paper continues to be anti-India. I wrote to the management and told them I was canceling my subscription which I had maintained for years. And as to Public Radio and PBS TV, the Republicans have been on the warpath against them for years now. They think they are "biased" whereas Fox isn't. Hmmm, did I miss Fox TV on your disinformation list? No, I didn't. You missed Fox? What a shame.
Fox is absolutely biased but it’s a private company. The reason Republicans criticize NPR and PBS is because they’re (partially) funded by the government and should therefore be an unbiased source for all citizens across the political spectrum.
Unfortunately, no good-doers can be trusted. The road to hell is paved by "good" deeds. Wed need to protect freedom more than ever, since we are on the cusp of being policed by those believing to hold a higher moral ground.
Excellent video. They can only keep the Censorship Industrial Complex hidden for so long... This comment will likely be censored as you are not allowed to talk about the CIC. Like "Fight Club". You do not talk about Fight Club!
What you fail to acknowledge is that you're problem with the organizations you mention and the very thing you are doing. You're right, they're wrong...end of story according to you.
Only credentialed experts should be allowed to speak on any given subject. This idea that we have that there's some value in every idiot having a platform and a say is incredibly stupid and we can see how bad of an idea it is occurring around us in real time.
@fredgarvinMP No, if stupid people want to stand on the street corner and shout like insane people, I'm all for that. Free speech doesn't mean you get a platform, a paycheck, a podium, a microphone, an audience, and silence.
The nyt has become unbearable in its bias. I can’t even read it anymore without getting angry.

Usually, mis/disinformation = conservative; trustworthy = liberal. A perfect example of the mis/disinformation these organizations claim to oppose.

Free speech. We can't be free without it.
When did we ever have 100% free speech and where?

Read "Fact-Checking the Fact-Checkers" by Matt Palumbo
The overt, deliberate and coordinated effort is undeniable at this point, and increasingly unabashed. Expect a full flex in the coming election cycle.
Why the music? Distracting.
Disagree, I think it's fine
Yeah, it really wasn't that bad and it was only a three minute video.
NPR is trustworthy 😂😂😂😂
I love reading what happened with the NPR editors, such a shame.
It’s like listening to North Korea and their propaganda 😂
Who funds these fact checkers?
George Soros and friends
This is a crucial issue. Thank you for shining a light into the disinformation-police crevices.
Think about where the terms Misinformation and disinformation come from. Those are intelligence community terms. Not media or general public.
This is why I don’t support any anti hate policies. Free speech needs to be protected.
Thank you for this important video

So basically the list is backwards. Got it! 😂😂😂
Theres power in key words, phrasing, and associative thoughts. No one is allowed to think for themselves, we need that regulated...
npr! what a joke
Why does Fauci sound like Christopher Walken there?

This is on mainstream media & social media algorithms we need our own platforms/ media
That list at 1:51 is *wild*. My profession, or at least the professional ethics we were all supposed to strive for, is dead.
It’s Orwellian…and most people don’t realize it. We are doomed.

When will the distortions promoted by Bari Weiss get removed from this website and her previous outlets?
Thank you guys for your work, for doing actual journalism 👏
What percentage of black lists are due to hate compared to lies?
Oh, it rose in the 1960s and grew into a monster during the 1980s.

Nonsense.
To have Fauci as your spokesman for saying disinformation is bad is kinda funny.
LOL
Absurd
What's absurd?
That GDO list you showed is basically inverted in its accuracy.
