This is a wonderful area. I've been to Annabell's shop - MIRACLES several times (the lady sitting outside her shop who then goes into the shop with the man making the video) and she has the most beautiful things. Very reasonably priced. I particularly love the Christian icons and statues but there are so many other wonderful unique things there. It's great for present buying and souvenirs.
I've become v friendly with Annabel and visit her shop every time I visit Gozo now. She's friendly, has wonderful stock and is intelligent and fun to talk to. I can't wait to go back

Of course Malta was under Arabic control first and after that British take over, that's why Maltese spaeak alots of Arabic words

Most of those words can be traced back all to way to Phoenician so they're Semitic not Arabic. Malta has very little Arab influence as the occupation lasted only 200 years. Also there were plenty of other powers that controlled Malta between the Arab and the British period.

@@magnuscorbin5040 Arabic is a Semitic language. Maltese who go to Arabic countries find they can speak the language - a Gozitan friend of mine went to Saudi and could converse right away. The habits of people here are quite Arabic too - especially the loud aggressive speech!

@@AnnabelleJARankin Your story is a big fat LIE. I'm Maltese and I can't understand Arabic at all except for a few words. They're two completely different languages like Swedish and German. Being loud means you're Arabic too now? I guess Americans are Arabic as well 🤣🤣🤣
